Norman Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 Brilliant comeback this from England. Marsh onslaught would have taken the wheels out of any other team.

Kothili Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 Wont be easy against Aussie bowling but Eng have the batting depth to handle it.

It used to be even more spicy in the 80s,90s. One of the reason why Vengsarkar's 102 & 61 here is considered one of the greatest knock by an Indian in England. Ball was literally untouchable. Nobody else touched even 50 from both sides. https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/india-tour-of-england-1986-62287/england-vs-india-2nd-test-63433/full-scorecard
Norman Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 If Englad get Archer fit again , they have a pretty good chance of challenging Australia in Australia. Maybe add in Stone or Topley and they are sorted out in all aspects with Wood already there.

Honestly Cummins has become a steady bowler these days. But he is still their best bet. Starc can go either way. He blows hot and cold. They will seriously hope he clicks. If he goes missing they will be up against it.

Kothili Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 Wood should bowl a lot slower than his Aussie mates in the spirit of cricket. lol
sage Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 All wrapped up Wood with a masterclass on how to skittle the tail
vvvslaxman Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 India backed that washed up Umesh and paid the penalty. England did the same with Anderson. rollingstoned 1
