This is the 1st non India series that I am eagerly waiting as not a big follower of cricket if India not playing. I think this Ashes has the potential to be the best since 2005 or best ever.

 

Bazball vs WTC winners...will be great viewing

 

My prediction - England will win 3-2

I hope and pray to the cricketing gods for the folllowing.

 

1) For the sake of test cricket that Australia will win atleast 3 if not 4 test matches and regain their superiority over the POMS. 3-0 or 4-0 will be mighty pleasing.

2) Smith hitting atleast a 1000 runs and showing glimpses of Sir Don Bradman like he did in the last ashes.

3) Send a couple of inglis players into early retirement if not depression like how steve waugh's men used to routinely humiliate them in the 90s and early 2000s.

4) Ruin any chances of english prep running into the WC.

5) The term bazball dying after this series and mocked for future references.

I want bazball to win, but more than that I want records to be broken, the impossible to be made to look easy assuming Eng actually stick to it. It will force India to adopt the same style.

Looks like the 4 seam attack will be Hazlewood/Boland/Cummins/Green.

 

Bazball vs a strong seam attack backed by Khwaja, Marnus, Smith, Head. 

 

If Warner fires and Cummins is back to his best , Bazball will be seriously tested .

Australian attack looks one dimensional on this pitch. Think England will score 450+ easily here in first innings.

Flat pitch. Since England batting first, safe to say they can't loose from here. Either a Eng win or a draw.

I've switched on the TV and waited for 15 min in anticipation for the first ball. I haven't watched a single ball of the farce that is WTC final.

 

Good cricket attracts viewers.

England looks the better side. Australian batsmen will fail under pressure. Smith is the key and will determine how Australia will go in this series.
