People like Gilly don't come around that often. That is why Pant is such a big miss for India and Dravid was an idiot not using him well in t20s.

Lol Robinson had insane average at the time. Wood played 2 tests iirc. Woakes played one. Pretty sure they lost that test. They also that bulky guy who was decent.

That height, natural bounce, miserly bowling, great inswingers. When he combined with Bumrah and Shami they were complimenting each other well. Siraj is not a fully developed seamer unfortunately. Going after glory ball every single ball and losing the plot. wazza 1
AKane Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 The good, better, best of this test with one regret. The good - England drew the series to maintain no series lost vs Aus in England since 2001. The better - Moeen and Broad go out on high together having helped with this test. The best - It matters not who won or lost but that Jimmy played the game. Minor regret - Jimmy protege Ollie Anderson was missing in this match. (Heartbreak for Dravid)

vvvslaxman Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 Injuries, weather, freak dismissals, bizarre decisions so many aspects decided the outcome rather than actual skills in this series. Australia in my view was way below par. They are lucky to get away with 2-2. I can't remember one good spell from Australia that sticks out. That Starc's spell briefly. Otherwise pathetic bowling. Got butchered a lot of times.
