Makes sense as they would want to bat all day today and tire english bowlers as much as they can. They have seen ali has issues with bowling fingers & stokes with his knees. If they tire broad & anderson at start of series then could be better for them as series goes cause england will have to pick inexperienced bowlers. Edited June 18, 2023 by Nikola nevada 1
putrevus Posted June 18, 2023 Posted June 18, 2023 I am still flabbergasted by awful Rohit's captaincy and Dravid lack of coaching. They had no plans for stopping Head by attacking his weakness on first day.

Aussies during their Hey days (Gilchrist, Hayden) used to be very aggressive. Nowadays mentally defensive.Michael Clarke was their last bonafide risk taker. wazza 1

Another reason they get so tired because they don't get enough rest in between innings as England scores so quickly. That is a silent disadvantage. To top it all he declared on day 1.

"In reaching his decision to sanction the player, the match referee was satisfied that Ali had used the spray only to dry his hands," the ICC said.

We were winning 2-1 vs england with kohli as captain. This idiot rohit ruined everything. Brought down the fitness level. Kohli underperformed with the bat and I suppose that cost him the captaincy. But bowlers were bowling with fire in the belly. They were on par with the best. After this idiot rohit took over, everything went downhill. Should have made pant or ashwin captain instead.

Kohli himself gave up test captaincy and if anything it was quite selfish from him. Doing that when he knew no one was ready to take over. He wanted to mess things up completely because his ego was totally hurt after being sacked from odi format as captain. wazza 1

Rohit does 6 6 6 lol Number 1 idiot. Also jadedja actually doesn't help induas cause. He finishes overs quickly which got me thinking if should have 6 bowling options instead. Cannot afford to have a spinner as the fourth bowler. Over will finish quicker in sena countries. Edited June 18, 2023 by wazza
wazza Posted June 18, 2023 Posted June 18, 2023 Now I understand how Ollie maintains is good average. He picks up cheap wickets. Accha

Pant or ashwin or honestly I don't know who else. None of the batsmen have been performing good. Rahane is a good captain but a bad batsman. Bumrah is not a good captain. Siraj is not smart. Shami is not smart. Ash or pant but ash's spot is not guaranteed.
vvvslaxman Posted June 18, 2023 Posted June 18, 2023 Australia must be kicking themselves if they can't take a lead here having played 38 overs more than England.
vvvslaxman Posted June 18, 2023 Posted June 18, 2023 This is going to be a one innings shoot out. Scratchy Moeen may become trump card .
vvvslaxman Posted June 18, 2023 Posted June 18, 2023 (edited) If England had an in-out field instead of ultra aggressive field set Australia would not have scored even at this rate. They were a bit defensive even in Pakistan that is why they couldn't white wash them. THey let Gobar Azam make 196 runs. Edited June 18, 2023 by vvvslaxman
