Not sure how PCB achieved their objective. PCBs demands were:

1) If India don't travel to Pakistan, they will also not come to India for World Cup

2) If Asia Cup becomes a hybrid model where India matches will be played in neutral venue, PCB will also want Pakistan matches for world cup to be played at neutral venue.

Now ACC has given 4 token games in Lahore. This is not exactly the hybrid model which they initially asked where only India matches will be played in separate venue. Its a lollypop gesture where only 4 matches consisting of Pakistan vs Nepal, Afghanistan vs Bangladesh, Afghanistan vs Srilanka, Srilanka vs Bangladesh will be played in Lahore.

Remaining all games will be in Srilanka including India matches, Pakistan games, Super 4s and Finals.

PCB not only accepted this offer but also now willing to send its team to India for world cup.

Jay Shah came out victorious from this as after months of Sethi running his mouth he has accepted defeat and agreed to the terms laid by BCCI only for a small token of 4 games.

Sethi was most likely only running his mouth...  It was unrealistic that Pakistan won't send its team to WC.

They came in 2016 T20 WC when relations were even more strained & environment was hostile.   Their games were shifted outta North India too.  Dharamsala ig was supposed to host Indo-Pak game that was played in Kolkata.

It is a token gesture indeed but both BCCI & PCB can call it a win of some sorts.

Sethi might have saved his Chairman post as well.

LOL no...this is not a win for PCB at all. They compromised big time and faltered under pressure. Even Pakistani's in twitter abusing Sethi for this.

How can 1 Pakistan game in Pakistan and that too against Nepal is a win?

Kuch bhi

Oh wow....just realised that Nepal is going to play their first ever major tournament and their two games are against Pakistan and India lol..

Had the tournament been in India, they would have drawn huge Nepalese crowd in almost every big city.

I was expecting Asia Cup to be completely happen outside Pakistan but now at least they have a excuse of hosting a multi nation tourney.

Though they really are dumb to host 4 games but only 1 game is a Pakistan game.  Could have exchanged the Groups I feel.

I have a feeling CT 2025 will follow similar setting.

Call me harsh but as the saying goes chote bacche ke haath se toffee bhi Cheen lo.. :eating:

Point is not about 1,2,3 or 4 games. Point is, you're letting them restart hosting, co-hosting in this case, multi-nation tournaments again. Why let them have the legitimacy? The whole "boycott" is a sham. I can understand India not having much standing in other sports, but we do in cricket.

The Asia Cup is going to be a biennial tournament, with 2 guaranteed Indo-Pak games and an optional 3rd. That right there is a bilateral series within a tournament. Even when you have a chance to make an enemy nation into a pariah, we decide ki sabse bada rupaiya.
