I never believed these exit polls anyway. They overstated results looking at the sentiment. However, they failed to account for the reduced voting percentage. Lower percentage tends to affect BJP more as it means the core BJP voter demographic did not have enough motivation to vote.

 

Remember: The core anti-BJP voter always votes.
