On top of this. India is fighting a battle at WTO foreign countries are accusing india of providing more subsidies and which is impacting their farmers. @Singh bling

It is still much lower than developed nations

It's extemly unfair to ask india to cut subsidies

The infrastructure is set for farming and not industry.

then punjab will face unemployment as farming turns less labour intensive... Its a choice every state has to make about balancing farming vs land availability vs unemployment.  Migration to canada or uk or south India cannot continue indefinately

That's coz the mortgage rates are high & many people made the mistake of not locking them to low fixed rates ( 1.5 % - 2% ) couple of years earlier, variable rates are very high & fixed are also high now.

Not really. It's actually the fault of the fascist govt that keeps increasing the interest rates despite knowing people are in such difficulty.

Looks like the govt doesn't really give a damn about its people.

Cant compare anything with Pakistan . UP with largest number of people below poverty line is growing faster than pakistan. Wonder how many Noida like cities Pakistan has developed.
