Ashwin is so much better than the Pakistani lot in the long format that its not even funny. Weirdly enough the limited overs spin depth is pretty solid with Usama Mir who i rate much higher than. chahal. You still have some exciting young quicks. Then there is your batting which is at its strongest since peak YK-A.Ali-Misbah days, in ODIs maybe best since Woolmer days. Your test spin bowling may be weak but solid in white ball, Shadab is one of the best in the world and leagues ahead of Chahal, Jadeja. PCB is extracting the best out of your talent pool, so cheer up. Meanwhile Dravid, Rohit etc. are taking Indian cricket backwards, discriminating against proper quicks (and youngsters in general), encouraging trundler culture, demoralizing a gem like Kuldeep after he got MOM in a test in Bangladesh. Their ultimate aim is to field 4 Vinay Kumars when we next tour Aus. Norman and express bowling 2 Link to comment

Frustrated
From 54/4 to 312 AO. Decent recovery by SL's middle order and luckily for them the tail also contributed. Link to comment

Considering we opened our account in SL with a series win after a looong time it wasn't too much damage done in the end thankfully. Gollum 1 Link to comment
rageaddict
At one stage SL were 54-4 and have crossed 300 now. Great recovery . Tarak9 1 Link to comment

Yeah that was a great series, very enjoyable. Probably the last strong Lankan team. Pitches were also wonderful with assistance for both pace and spin, and enough runs for batsmen. rollingstoned 1 Link to comment

PAK bowlers look better as the format gets shorter. I rate Naseem higher than Shaheen. He will definitely make it in the longer formats in time. ihsanullah could go either way. The white ball attack is sorted. clownkiller 1 Link to comment
Norman
Sri Lanka has comfortably the best test match wickets in Asia by a country mile. They always strike the right balance between the highways of Pakistan and turners in India/Bangladesh. Heck even the fast bowlers get some assistance with the new ball due to sea breeze. Also it rains so much, always humid but not blazing hot like South India. As you said, sea breeze as well. Fast bowlers too enjoy those conditions. Best pitches in SC. Best groundsmen in the world, always cover the ground entirely and play resumption is so so quick. They may not have advanced drainage systems like Eng/Aus but boy are Lankan groundsmen efficient at what they do!!!!! Link to comment
