Bang bang...  Saudis tearing into our defense...  2-0 already.

It was good while it lasted.

Didn't watch the game but 2-0 doesn't seem too bad I guess.

Anyways had no hope from this setup, was doomed from the start. Hope we learnt something from this, at least for AIFF's sake

Lots of medals in the offing today. Gold and silver from shooting so far. India's best ever performance in Shooting (15 medals) at the Asian Games (surpassing 2006 Doha) with a few more possibilities for medals.

Badminton women's team looking down and out vs Thailand. PV Sindhu is in abysmal form. Goes down to a Thai nobody. Doubles team is already one set down. Men's doubles team also look outclassed in the final. Silver most likely from them unless they can make a comeback from 1 set down.

Our athletes start with 2 fifth place finishes in walking in both men and women's categories.

Aditi Ashok tied for second place (one stroke behind the leader) in Golf halfway through the second round and the Indian women's team is currently in 3rd place. Surprising how she is unable to make an impact in the LPGA. Hope she goes from strength to strength soon.

Not great for racket sports so far today. Women look outclassed by Hong Kong. Already 1 game down and losing badly in the second as well. Women's badminton team was thrashed by Thailand.

Men's doubles goes down tamely in straight sets. Still they get a silver.

Mixed doubles team playing for a place in the semi-final shortly. Hopefully, they get into the finals as well. Bopanna ought to go out with at least a gold.

@Gollum Bhai ki rant kaam kar Rahi hai :D

2 world records and 1 asian games record set by Indian shooters so far.

Anahat goes down in a close first game. 5-5 in the second. She looks quality. In a couple years should be really strong.

Hopefully a mauling awaits them:rofl:..  Meltdown would be worth watching

I want our boys to beat them narrowly in group stage, ensure they somehow qualify to final and then hammer them. 2 wins better than 1:phehe:

Our tennis has declined a lot, and the East Asians have levelled up. Even 15-20 years ago we used to (almost) sweep the tennis events including singles.

True. Strange that we have not stepped up in tennis. Hopefully, things get better soon. The East Asian quality is really average tbh.

Women's badminton is in a state of emergency as well. Sindhu has declined a lot and noone is there to step into her shoes. Men's badminton has improved a lot!
