That was a captaincy mistake. You don't bowl finger spinner in last over.

 

Usually in spin conditions hes good enough and can hit towards the end.

Rashid,Kumble,Vettori were all quick spin bowlers.

Overs 1 and 7 are statistically most economical.  Giving that 6th over in pp was gonna be tricky anyways.

They had speed variations. Darting everything into right handers will not be effective. He has less speed variations than Yuvraj singh.

I don't think so, He will be needed only 10% for his batting and 95% for his bowling.

 

His bowling stinks on flat pitches  and he will be carted all round like no tomorrow.

 

I rather have Bishnoi over Axar even though he does not offer much with bat.

Bishnoi can't bat at 7. Kuldeep already taking main spinner spot.

The variations were subtle and not much change in pace. Axar also does it.

 

Yuvi was more classical but didn't have quick one.

Axar will not win any match from number 7 with bat if top 6 fails. Bishnoi can win a match with ball that is the difference.

 

They have to take leaf out Jadeja.Axar is not going to do better than Jadeja long term.Only hope for India is they get spinning wickets.

Vettori was never great wicket taker in whiteball cricket. He played for NZ so he had to learn changing speeds to be economical.

 

Neither Axar nor Jadeja are great at changing speed in any format.
