Yeah they should have developed that option before. Too late now. Atleast combined they could 6-8 overs.

Terrible batting lineup in 2019. Just 7 doesn't make it invincible strategy. Karthik,Dhoni were trash. If Dhawan was fit we'd have much better chance.

It is not that they didn't want to develop.

So watching some other team and saying we should do that never works, England bats deep, so do you Aussies.

Inida has 4 number 11s but they are not Mcgraths either with the ball.So it will be always give and take.

But we kept blaming captain and coach , what could they do if Dhawan and then Shankar got hurt.

yeah everyone has to develop 2nd skill. Bumrah and Shami atleast have worked on their batting a bit. But batters don't bowl even in dead rubbers.

Eng and Aus bat deep due to same reason. They get bowling from top 6.

Sehwag, Sachin did not bowl in 2011. Most of the indian batsmen are on their last legs, they won't be developing new skills.

Australia and England have bowler who can score runs. They are far better than Indian bowlers in batting.

Last odi match is the reality of Indian bowlers' batting. They shut the shop down after 40 overs.

That's exactly why you need an extra batter.

All left arm seamers are getting good swing under lights.

Starc in last game and Boult today. Shaheen Shah will be deadly in these conditions.

Just hope we bat first against them on 14th

They sure have to think of sending a LHB as opener if they are playing these teams.

Unless you are 100% sure there will be dew at night just bat first, don't do like Brat who basically handed Pak the cup in 2017 with garlands :whack3:

That was a day game though.

There is no left hander in Indian team apart from Jadeja....Kishan will not be in playing XI.

I can already see Rohit's front foot against Shaheen's inswinger

Right & that's why I said BRat did the stupidest thing possible, you could argue SCG as well in 2003 but we were facing the best ODI side ever - I doubt any combination of India's ATG team could beat them on that day!

New Zealand is suddenly looking a very good team. I was listening to one interview of Nasser Hussain and he thinks most teams in this world cup is equally matched and disparity among sides is very less.

Lets move on from CT...we were destined to lose that game. Had Bumrah not bowled that no-ball, we would have won it even with bowling first

I would send Jadeja in that case.He is not going to do much anyway down the order.

If India has to win this world cup.Coaching has to play a vital role. Both Shastri and Dravid in his tenure  have never shown any out of the box thinking.

No shame is changing the batting lineup to counteract  the strength of opposing team.

If coaches cannot assess the conditions and help team adapt then what is point in having them.

They are a good side but will have to see how they work in Indian conditions.   I do think Saffers are tad bit better than them atm.

Shaheen averages 23.5 against LHB and 23.3 against RHB. I doubt jadeja would do much better against a new ball since he would have a lot less practice

It's always difficult to get bowlers to hit a decent level. Woakes wasn't a great #7 in the last World Cup and only made some impact against BD.

It's always easier to get batters to bowl spin/medium pace seam up.

It's why bowling allrounder s have to make it as quality wicket taking bowlers first.
