Extremely strange and ironical but true : Pakistan's downfall as a team started after they appointed a sports psychologist called Mr. Babri for mental conditioning.

Ironically this sports psychologist, Babri, was appointed only in Aug 2023, during Pak's ODI series against Afghanistan - that was held in Sri Lanka prior to the Asia Cup.

It is amusing that the Pak had to bring him in during a series against Afghanistan - but since then Pak has mentally messed up.

 

They got mauled in the Asia Cup and humiliated again by India.

 

Apparently Mr. Babri was primarily appointed to help Pak overcome the mental hurdle against India.

 

He is part of Pak's support squad in India for the WC.

Given how they chased down 340 against SL just days ago, I had expected them to either put up a tough challenge or win the game. The meek surrender ruined all the excitement about a much anticipated match. Babri has clearly failed to do whatever he was hired for.

All this is bullshit.

 

There is no "downfall". They were playing against weaker teams and 2nd string lineups of the strong teams.

 

Playing against strong teams and they are exposed.

 

They lost to India twice heavily and even lost to Aus/NZ in the warmups and they weren't even close.

 

Against SL they won 1 and lost 1 and both were tight matches. This is their level.

 

Even against Afghanistan, Netherlands etc they have had tight matches.

They play low skilled cricket. Nothing wrong with their jihadi mentality, its well. Skill level is the issue, technical. Hit ball, catch ball, throw ball etc.. problems plenty. Small weak body they seem to all have also compounds the issue.
