Our T20 future is doomed if this guy is the captain.   He will remain injured most of the time.    Imagine him getting injured during a live KO match in the upcoming T20 WC.  We were earlier lucky that despite his injury we went on to win the Asia Cup 2018 as the opponents were weak.   Won't get such weak opponents in ICC tournaments.

Why are g@@du TM doesn't insist on making the best fast bowlers bat?

Ask their respective Ranji or domestic sides to make them bat alongside developing them themselves

This has been the mantra of SENA sides for years

Batsmen shouldn't abandon spin when they are settled into the side

Players like Pandya become irreplaceable

I really miss him,his bowling was very impressive offlate

T20 won't be an issue..he will only bowl 1-2 overs with the new ball and then take a backseat.

We're anyway going to play with 6 bowlers now...considering Tilak will be a semi permanent member of T20 team. Jaiswal can also bowl legspin.

True..as we have seen Bumrah's batting improved.

Likes of Shami, Kuldeep's batting has been downgraded. Even Prasidh, Siraj are also hopeless with the bat.

 

Raj Bawa who is pinned as next gen pace allrounder is batting at no 7, and bowling only 1-2 overs per game, I wonder how he will develop as he has to smash from bowl one. While has been like Rishi Dhawan are batting at no 3/4 and sharing new ball with their trundling pace of 115 kph.

Also BCCI should try to find and groom new allrounders. In domestic it should be mandatory  that all batsmen have to bowl few overs and bowlers have to contribute with bat, what else domestic tournaments are there for??

Especially considering we might be 230/5 in 40 overs again in a KO and we will have to settle for tuk tuk tuk tuk with Jaddu and worthless tail and do well not getting all out. Might end up like 250 a.o in 45 overs.

TM should rest Bumrah Shami Kuldeep from here on and teach them some batting skills everyday till the semis.  Another 12 days to go for the semis.  Playing 4 no11 batters is always a gamble.  It has paid off till now.  But may not pay off against tougher teams in KO and Final.

Now that Pandya is out, in a ko i fully expect Rohit to take his time as the pressure of not losing wickets early will be on his mind which will be harmful for the team cause. Same for Kohli, KL. Sharma has played freely till now and attacked everyone. Not sure what state of mind he will be in when he next steps out of his crease to fast bowlers with only 6 batsmen. Bad fukkkkin luckkk

Most disappointing thing is Kuldeep's batting which has regressed a lot.  4 yrs ago, he used to be a sort of handy batter at no 8 or 9.  Not any more.

If Deepak Chahar has been little serious about his fitness. He is a lot better batter than Shardul & is a 5-6 over bowler with new ball...

Not true .

 

We still have the same exact batting depth as we had with Pandya. Thakur's batting exists only in theory...It's our bowling that got affected more with this but Shami's form has pretty much negated this so far. 

 

Hope it remains the same...

When India were pounding teams at home in meaningless useless bilateral series, I was begging them to rest the uncles and develop a strong squad.

 

This is the consequence.

 

We have a team with just 5 bowlers and aside from Jaddu cannot bat and 6 batsmen who really cannot bowl at all.
