People here hating on Gujju's without any reason reminds me of Hitler's unnecessary hatred for entire Jewish community. I am not a Gujrati myself but find it very odd that an entire community being vilified and PM being blamed just bcoz we got outplayed in a cricket match. Sad to see but probably this is new normal in India.

Nobody's hating gujjus. Everyone is p*ssed off at Jay Shah and the BCCI for staging the finale on that cr@ppy pitch. Ideally should've been at Lucknow or Eden Gardens where the pitch had turn. Turn is helpful, not this slow & sluggish pitch we got.

Some of our people can only complain. Earlier, those 30-40K stadiums were seen small, not modern enough.

 

Now, India builds a world-class stadium, with record attendance, and quality amenities. It ought to be appreciated, especially in past many big projects had major cost overruns or never really completed.

DDCA spent around 600 cr in renovation of Kotla whereas 800 cr was used to build NaMo stadium.

 

Overspending is a problem at BCCI also. Only difference is that it's not taxpayers' money.

Rinse and Repeat! This panoti stadium has ensured we don't win a WC at home despite being the best team going around. This stadium should be used exclusively for IPL. Or play as many bilaterals as you want. But spare us ICC tourney matches here

That's why I used the phrase "popping up".  I did not mean this is a new thread.  The thread was in existence. Now, it is being popped up...like pop corn.   This, despite the presence of another new thread (with same content) that was created only a couple of days ago.
