Bowling line up for next year series in Australia...

Bumrah  (all 5 games)

Shami (max 2)

Prasidh (all 5)

Siraj ( lock for D/N.. Conditions dependent)

Harshit Rana (likely test debut)

Tyagi or Kuldeep Sen

@express bowling @Mosher

Tyagi, Sen, Rana, Praisdh Will enjoy Auzzie pitches which has true bounce, Tyagi might send some to hospital as well.

Will Pucovski got the taste of that.

Pakistan's phattu batting bar Shan Masood briefly is never going to work here. You can have one batsman playing like this. Not everyone.

This is their best batting...all they produce are either hacks who slogs everything on the leg side, or these slow turtles who will block everything and play at a sedate pace.

Usman Khwaja who is a Pakistani by birth is also batting in the same way.

Very interesting that Khawaja with such low hands has adapted to Aussie conditions.   He was always going to be gun in subcontinent.

Probably playing his final cycle too.

They tried to copy Gujara but forgot rest of Indians attacked around him.  Also Perth is not the sort of pitch to try and wore them down.  A nasty ball can come anytime.

Such tactics can work in MCG and Sydney though.   Captain Shanu maybe on to something perhaps:stupid:

You begin to understand why Babar is rated this highly there when you understand and see this. He is the big exception to that rule.

Pakistan lost the test the moment they lost the toss. Beating aus in perth after losing the toss is impossible. India lost all tosses and lost all perth tests. India won the toss in 2007/8 and won..

That is applicable for good sides not for a side like Pakistan lol. They will lose regardless. If anything some questioned the decision of cummins not bowling first.

Perth normally starts getting worse for batting as divots are created in pitch and cracks open up.. hence even a small 200 chase becomes difficult.. yes pak would have still lost but woull have made 30 runs extra. 310 odd

Babar is quite a decent bat for their standards...Rizwan too is an exception.

Not sure what prompted the inclusion of "salfalaaj".

Karachi Urdu lobby...  Patriot Salflaaz...  Champion toppy winner.

Shanu Hafeez probably wanted to break Babar Rizwan monopoly.

Rizwan was quite good with the bat last time there though.

But on first day they could very well have imploded for 150 runs not knowing how to react to the surface.

This is interesting....  But India won crucial toss in D/N game & lost last time.  Then lost all tosses but won the series.

That's why Chasing 320+ 4th inns in Gabba has to be one of the greatest acts ever in cricket history.  Pitch was spitting even in Aussie inns.  That Steve Smith dismissal comes to mind.

We will likely play our first test in Perth too next year.

In the last 5 years. only 3 guys averaged 50 when they toured. One guy waveraged 84 among the three. Rishab Pant is a different breed in Australia.  This is why i am annoyed with using century count as a measure of greatness. Some of the greatest test innings by INdians were not centuries. Either 90s or 80s.  Pant's 89 at Gabba, Pant's 97 at SCG,  Sehwag's 83 at Chennai.
