They convincingly lost this series as well

Just a difference they competed a session or two in this series

Thanks to few novelties and Australia fading

I don't think Australia was on full throttle.  Bit laidback int his series. Otherwise they would have destroyed them. But they exposed this Fake king

If Australia play like this and India actually has a fully fit 11 available with some new additions from youngers then we would beat them easy again. But I an sure we will stuff up selections somehow and lose this time

Don't think we'll get fair pitches this time when we land in Australia. We'll receive the same kind of green pitches given to South Africa which may not sit well with the broadcasters because it will greatly reduce the game time.

India will have ageing Rohit,Kohli this time when we tour Australia, also without Pujara who won us series in 18-19 and played a part in 20-21. Don't be surprised if we meet same fate as 2011-12 tour. 0-5 thrashing coming...

Aus will have ageing side too...  I think it could be a close one & margins will be smaller.

Hopefully Jaiswal has a breakout tour...  And Gill does well.

Need to find a pace all rounder somehow

If it's green seamers with ultra bounce then aus would lose badly to us. Bad idea. They should prepare flat pitches with true bounce. Make it a patta. Batting shoot out. They will beat us this time if they create such pitches. Our batting is far inferior.

What a privilege it is to bow out on your terms when you are still contributing to your team and not being a burden on your team and selectors.

Indian players can only dream of such farewells.. Well can't blame bcci cos these guys just don't retire.

Looking at the Australia-Pakistan series, Australia won both the two tests – first by 360 runs and second by 79 runs. Now they lead the series by 2-0.

Amid Pat Cummins-led Australia playing the third Test with Shan Masood-led Pakistan at Sydney, where Australia seems to dominate the guests, former cricket legend Adam Gilchrist called Pakistan the worst Asian team on Australian soil.

As the Pakistan batting order collapsed like a pack of cards in the second innings, it disappointed Gilchrist, who from the commentary box said Pakistan was the worst Asian Team he had ever seen on Australian soil.

He even compared Pakistan with India, which despite tough challenges, won the match in South Africa and have won 2 series in Australia. He asked, 'What has Pakistan won in the last 35 years?"

He said, "This is the worst Asian Team I have ever seen on Australian soil, they were in the driver's seat and suddenly you lose 5 wickets in a span of 15 minutes? Their fans were mocking India yesterday but at least they won the match in South Africa and have won 2 series in Australia. What has Pakistan won in the last 35 years?" (Sic)

Looking at the Australia-Pakistan series, Australia won both tests -- first by 360 runs and second by 79 runs. Now they lead the series by 2-0.

Australia vs Pakistan 3rd Test highlights:

Batting first in the third test, Pakistan scored 313 runs in the first innings, all out at 77.1 overs. Apart from Mohammad Rizwan (88), Aamer Jamal (82), and Agha Salman (53), no other Pakistan batter could cross 35 runs. For the Aussies, skipper Pat Cummins took a fifer, while Mitchell Starc picked 2 wickets. Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Lyon and Mitchell Marsh clinched one wicket each.

However, the Australian batting order too struggled and the entire team was packed for 299 in 109.4 overs. Apart from Mitchell Marsh (54), no other Aussie batter could complete his half-century, all thanks to brilliant bowling by Aamer Jamal who picked 6 wickets. Agha Salman took 2 wickets, while Sajid Khan and Mir Hamza clinched one wicket each.

In the second innings, Pakistan lost its momentum from the very beginning and lost 7 wickets, scoring 68 runs in 26 overs. Josh Hazlewood picked 4 wickets, while Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, and Travis Head took one wicket each. Pakistan have a lead of 82 runs.

I think our players make way too much money with ads etc when they are playing. As soon as they retire their marketing value nosedives and hence they just drag on and on to make most of what they can.

Sachin retired the day he was not picked for Pak ODI series so pretty sure someone from selection team and BCCI informed him that he is not being looked at.

Ganguly stopped picking Dhoni at all and they kept terming it as rest lol. In the end Dhoni understood and retired.

Ganguly retired on a high, after we beat Aussies 2-0 at home in 2008. Dada batted really well in that series. Kumble too retired in that series but because of injury reasons and he didn't bowl well.

Even Laxman, Dravid, Viru faced the 0-8 humiliation before leaving. Viru stayed on till the Aane do series disaster, series loss at home vs Eng.

17-0 over 3 decades is some feat. Only Aussies can be this ruthless, must be one of the most one-sided rivalries in all of sports. In ICC events also, Aussies own Pak (but to be fair they own everyone there:phehe:), even win in Pak, 53+59<Hayden in Sharjah etc.
