What has done in ENgland against India?

 

For all his complaints his performance against India in ENgland is very poor. Jadeja has totally out performed in the India vs England encounters in England

But if you go by media you will get impression that Stokes is hitting match winning 100s and Jadeja is scoring 10 runs.

He has done far better than Jadeja with bowl though and is a great captain. But agree with the unnecessary hype he gets.

Yes but I think when pitches are flat in home conditions, Stokes has this ability to make things happen and change games. For Jadeja and Ashwin, the Indian pitches have been more inclined towards turners/dustbowls than flatties.

I don’t really recall Jadeja saving or winning us test matches from tricky situations at home on turning pitches. As an example, his batting average is not good vs Australia at home because they have played on turning pitches when they toured India.

 

When England toured India in 2016 and 2024, the pitches were flat and balanced for all respectively. In 2021, Jadeja didn’t played. Last year, when NZ toured India, Jadeja disappointed with bat and couldn’t make things happen which is why India got whitewashed.

2017 Dharamsala 4th test. Got us the lead in the 1st innings.
