tapandrun
Played IPL last year for RR, made some quick 20, 30 batting at 5/6 similar to Jitesh's position. Link to comment

Wasn't flustered by persistent short pitched bowling by Wood .. Looked the part and was cool and composed .. Attacked the spinners Impressive debut so far. I expected him to score faster. tuk-tuked quite a bit. I hope he plays his natural game more Link to comment

Lone Wolf
His technique is lot similar to young Kela... Which was pretty solid. Let's see how he shapes up. Vijy and Frustrated 2 Link to comment
Frustrated
Keeping looks better than Bharat. Batting is way better too. Nice footwork against spinners. Solid defence. Against Wood, he was very sure that he would leave the bouncers/short balls. Had the clarity of thought. What else u need from him? tweaker and express bowling 2 Link to comment
Frustrated
He will make it tough for Pant to make his comeback. I m confident about this guy. New guy, Number and Vijy 2 1 Link to comment

But from his videos he looks massively unfit, overweight and no wonder Ponting isn't sure he would be able to keep all 20 overs. It would be hard for him to be at 100% if ever. Have to invest in Jurel imo. Number, ravishingravi and Frustrated 3 Link to comment

The Pant of today is different from the earlier Pant (pre accident). He has not yet regained full fitness (from the pics and videos, it appears so). But he has age on his side. So, should not be a problem. IIRC, Yuvi (post-cancer treatment) was not the same as earlier one. It's not easy to regain the same level of fitness & skill set after a long lay off. But then,I want to be proved wrong. (Being a big fan of pant). PS: When did I say that Pant wasn't a match winner? There is a clear misinterpretation at your end. Troll voting the post looks silly on your part. Edited February 17 by Frustrated Link to comment

Cancer is very different than his knee issues MCL and ACL. Yuvraj was also older at that. If pant puts in hard work he should be ok. The rehab is the hardest part. Link to comment

Pujara became a strokeless wonder after his knee issues.. And had to resort to Tuk Tuk cricket. Vijy 1 Link to comment
Vijy
Pant will be at a fraction of his ability if the examples of Yuvi and Chepu are anything to go by. I am hoping this is not the case tweaker and Frustrated 2 Link to comment
Number
Brilliant anticipation to get Duckett out today. Shades of MSD in terms of presence of mind. IPL teams will try to poach him for grooming hin for captaincy. Frustrated, tweaker and Vijy 3 Link to comment

express bowling
Very high quality keeping in the 2nd innings. Anticipation, footwork and reflexes are all very good. He will get a long run. Edited February 18 by express bowling Lone Wolf, Mosher, Frustrated and 3 others 1 5 Link to comment
Vickydev
His glove work was noticeably brilliant even in the u19 days, his batting wasn't as refined then. So obviously he is improving and that's what is impressive to see, growth in the players as they transform to senior cricket Frustrated and express bowling 2 Link to comment

But what I saw in the first innings he looked so compact, something we could work with overseas express bowling 1 Link to comment
