Yup, that's the deserving XI and pick a captain out of those. Make anyone of Rinku, Bumrah or Samson captain. And in case it's a spin-friendly pitch, add another spinner such as Sai Kishore, who can bowl in PP, in place of a seamer. At least we wouldn't die wondering like we've been doing for more than a decade now.

5 batsmen who can't bowl (some of them can't catch , can't field or can't do both)

5 bowlers who can't bat (almosst everyone is poor in catching and fielding)

It is almost like  they are done if they suck in the main department. Cannot contribute to team anyway. This is where you see teams like Australia always look like having extra players. Like 15 or 16 players due to the way they contribute in various departments.

most of our batsmen are decent fielders/catchers ..

when comes to bowlers , if they cant hold bat or field stick to ipl :mad: 

 

one dimensional shld be kicked out from LoIs

Current Rohit hardly tries. Doesn't dive to field.  You sort have to hide him in the best position. Kohli fields alright. But catch is always 50/50 with him.  Jaiswal is good. SSKY is also good. But if we compare with the electric running on the boundary line  by guys like Philips, Warner, Maxwell we are nothing. I don't think they care about this aspect. Purple cap, orange cap this is what they look for. Harshal won a purple cap. He was on his way to world T20.

Teams like Aus have players like Head, Green, Maxwell, Marsh etc. who can easily bowl 2-3 overs, can bat and are amazing fielders. Same with Eng, NZ and SA. And here we bring in dad's army of one-dimensional players who can't even do one thing right

Kohli drops sitters every other match and is extremely unreliable. Rohit is like an anchor on the field and his reflexes are so slow now that by the time he bends down, the ball is already past by him. Chahal and Siraj act as if the ball is a bomb. Same with Avesh and Arshdeep, and Bumrah is a poor fielder as well. Half the squad would be out-fielded by a FC team from Eng, NZ, Aus or SA. Take out Jadeja, the specialist fielder, and we don't have even a single bankable fielder.

Yup when India fields it is not   2 vs 11 for an opposition  it is often   2 vs 2 or 3.  When Australia fields   it wiill look like 2 vs 22. This advantage is clearly in favor of Aussies. This is one of the reason why NZ consistently punches above the weight. THey are collectively better than us.

Kohli's chest thumping has gone over the top lately "Look i have conquered the spin" by hitting a couple of sixes against spinners. Let us see whether he actually turned around.
