Oh come on, our tactics were sh!t when will you acknowledge that?

I can’t type a laundry list of what went , was basically refuting that it was not a dead rubber useless game.

That Yuvi's innings is still the best innings by any Indian batsman in t20 world cups.

And I would term Kohli 2016 T20 WC SF against Australia and last WC knock against Pakistan better than rohits knock as well.

In terms of importance you can say that.

But yesterday's knock did put that fear factor into Aussie bowlers. He was just toying with them. Nobody in Indian team can play some of those shots which Rohit played yesterday.

That is why it is so infuriating to see this guy bat like meek idiot in world t20 world cups knock outs since 2014.

Indian score should have been  240 plus .

Ahead of Yuvi's 30 ball 70 and Gambhir's knock in 2007 finals?

Gambhir's final knock is the best in my view. Without that We were pretty much done.

Rohit knock = Most Brutal

Kohli knock = Most consequential (vs Australia)

Yuvraj Knock = Most Brutal and Most consequential

All 3 knocks had its own importance.

Yes, that's  why I say like he was a man possessed. Something looked different. He was throwing the kitchen sink, dishwasher, countertops , everthing at it.

He played like he plays in the 40 to 50 overs mark in odi..goes from 100 in 120 balls to 170 in 140 balls

I rate this attack of Starc, Hazlewood, Cummins, Zampa much higher than Bracken, Stuart Clark etc. I don't even remember who their spinner was

Yeah I forgot about Symonds. But he was a part time spinner .  They didn't have a specialist spinner for Durban pitch .

Even Johnson was not that accurate a bowler back in 2007 .  Nothing like his 2013 onwards self.

but gun batting line up then…this lot is hit or miss…if this lot clicks they make anyone other team look retarded…but one of the best attacks i have seen in the trio of hazzlenut, cummer, starcy, zippy with stoinis, maxwell, marsh, head..they all can bowl crazy :cantstop:

Only one led to a trophy. In my mind the best knock ever was Rohit Sharma s 30 odd in final. Gambhir kept hold of one end but without that quickfire innings we would have lost the match. Now bring the occasion, a 20 year old, playing his 5th match for India, in a world cup final, against Pakistan, the whole world watching, and he doesnt show any nerves and calmly plays that innings..

No. But I'm not blinded by nostalgia , either

Nothing about nostalgia. You look like you are showing a lot of recency bias. Yuvi came to the crease outside the power play when India had like 60 odd runs in 10 overs and blasted Australians all over the field.  That too on a frigging SF. To a team where we had lost the previous ODI world cup as well as a few other tourney finals as well.

The match last night wasn't even that consequential.

Almost felt like he was on a mission to make Australia pay for the World Cup loss. I’m sure he’s gonna play positively even in the knockouts. The question though is will he make a sizable score before being dismissed.

Pathetic idiots cant even score run a ball…or clear thirty meter line… what the efff is that fraud guuju doing in the team..every tom dick n kenya hits em for sixes. Cant bat or bowl.. now he drops sitters… morons

I've already stated why above.  He scored 13 off 8 against Lee and Johnson and smashed the rest for 57 off 22.   That attack was nowhere near the quality of the attack Rohit scored against imo

Our so called  hero Gambhir was batting under 100 SR in that 2007 semifinal, he was bailed out by others mainly Yuvi  just like he was bailed out by bowlers and Rohit in that finals where he played 18 overs and  took innings no where.

That was important. Gambhir's innings held together . Yuvraj for some reason fails against Pakistan. IN Mohali as well first ball duck. But he bowled well there though.
