Rohit Sharma innings appreciation thread

Not his biggest fan, wanted him to quit T20s, but any objective cricket fan who likes to see quality cricket albeit T20 too, has to appreciate this innings.

 

The offside inside out sixes, the Hanuman style one-legged pulls, he played like a man possessed. Truly great T20 innings. It was not a KO game, but we had to make sure we didn’t lose badly. It was a QF KO for Australia  and he delivered a sucker punch to knock them out

Nothing to appreciate. After Jadeja, he is the biggest fraud in t20 cricket. Can be replicate this in semis and finals? I don't have much hopes. Have more confidence in Pant, SKY and Hardik.

Just do his best for next 2 games..and say adios to white ball format atleast.

how was ur drinkin session went yesterday night? Dont tell u got imported knock out glen whiskey from bengaluru…quit drinking last 2 days …phew knocked out gym at 630 am… and feeling like million dollars minus some tiredness from takin benzos for withdrawals… never felt this good in two years !

Yes, that's  why I say like he was a man possessed. Something looked different. He was throwing the kitchen sink, dishwasher, countertops , everthing at it.

Like you, I also thought vadapav is too old for t20. He showed the naysayers his true tailunt. off side sixes were classic hitman. I believe in 2018, he scored a similar shot against Cummins in a test match that too in Adelaide. Showed Starc and the aussies the door

 

Point to be noted is somebody needs to provide such an impetus against top teams like Aus, Eng to win as Aus came mightily too close at one point and even had the run rate under check. Lolli is never going to do it. He must be the first person to leave the team not Shawarma

sharma plays for team not records… plus hitman is wayy more talented n bigger hitter than kohli. Kohli should never open. Thats not his role. Geeez he belted two 100+ m sixes sharma against aus. Cray cray

lol that was the best innings in this WC. Rohit has been performing consistently since 2015 WC.

Kohli has played such an innings  in 2022 WC against Pak, when he destroyed Haris Rauf in a classic chase.
