I am not talking about the final but the entire tournament. We would have lost to Pak if not for Pants innings. We would have lost the 2011 semis if not for sachins innings. We would have lost to Australia in 2007 if not for yuvi

 

Players can miss out on one off innings, but Kohli was a passenger entire tournament and less said about Dravids picks the better.

Only pant played well, inspite of pant innings we would have lost.. same inspite of Sachin slow innings 85(115), we would have lost.. both times bowlers saved us.

Bowlers saved us but if we were 20 runs short in either innings we would have lost. On US pitch every single bowler from all teams did well, they were low scoring pitches which is why Pants innings in all those matches  was gold.

Absolutely,

Dravid failed to identify and groom even one player for the future. That's the least expected from a coach who is supposedly have so much experience.

 

On top of it, players like Mukesh, Avesh, Unadkut, KL, Dube were promoted and backed over & over again, despite knowing very well how limited they are.

Pandya is a rare breed, he took his time in developing but he has reached to stage where he can contribute with both bat and ball. He has matured a lot  in his performance.He does not run way from tough spots like KL Rahul or SKY.

 

You don't create allrounders, India is blessed with lot of talent is  just a hog wash. If that was the case we would be having lot more Kapil Devs and Pandyas.

 

I was one his biggest critic but we have to give him credit.

 

They have to talk to him and see why he has pulled out from odis.
