APS Tomar is a medal contender in shooting. Had a bad finish in qualification in Tokyo after a good start.

Aldrin jumped 7.77 at the World Championships last year where the gold and silver medallists jumped 8.52 and 8.50. He has been jumping 7.7 to 8.0 this whole year. His optimistic range at the Olympics would be between 8.1 to 8.2. It's easy to create national records in local events aided by local officials. I've been following Indian athletics long enough to know how reliable those personal bests are.

Annu Rani's best outcome would be just to qualify for the final. All these guys have a 1/100 chance at winning a medal, not 1/8.

Archery in a nutshell

1. Wimmenz mistaking it for cricket and hitting 4s and 6s.

2. Boys choking with the most reliable archer hitting 7 when you need 9 or more.

3. We doing good, then opponent archer turning into super human hitting 8 10s in a row to kick our best guy out.
