I don't rate him one way or other.Couldnt develop players nor win anything special. His only  achievement is winning the wt20 which even Rajput has done.

Literally everyone who has come through the under 19 and A tours has credited him for their development.

Unless you are suggesting that the role of a head coach is to develop players on the road.

It's what Pakistani fans typically expect.

Whom has he developed statpad Gill or ishan kishan.Pant too was throwing tantrums in Bangladesh before his accident.

He spent most of his time trying to fit in kl ,who laid his  eggs in the final.

Maybe @Lord is right, and we were too harsh on Dravid. Easier to talk wise as post game expert or ex-player on shows/YT, even Agarkar was sensible. Once they are given responsibility, I guess they are compromised.

I am always right

My issue with him is lack of pace bowling development. That's why I despise him.

Pace bowlers are key to winning overseas tests.

Even for world cups. Pace wins always.

Kela yes

Also he kept on playing a loser like patidar despite repeat failure in tests. Doesn't learn quickly.

Very rigid.

Slow on the uptake.

Always talks about 'match ups'

Like no one has ever heard that before.

And then calling Pakistani bowling sexy lel.

Meek timid chutiya. Glad he is gone.

Don't you make it a point to criticise the lack of natural ability/athleticism of Indian players.

Then what difference does it make?

Dravid is out but KL is still selected.

On what basis are you saying that KL was only in the side because of Dravids politicking ?

Alright but how does that make Dravid any better. They are all rubbish.

If Jadeja has a good Australia tour with the bat... Make no mistake his PR would be otherworldly high and selectors as usual will mix formats and he will slot right back in.

Only scenario Axar gets in is if he does extremely well with the bat and ball and Fraudeja has a stinker of a Test series in Australia.

He'll be back anyway. Axar is better significantly only in T20s

Jadeja was a passenger this WC. Also in the home WC KOs. He should focus on tests for next 3 years (25-30 tests) and try to seal his legacy in his strongest format. Can't he see the obvious?

He had great role in us reaching 2023 knockouts. 16 wickets and 2  crucial knocks. If only KOs count, Kuldeep,Siraj and even Boom was subpar

T20 he was always crap and should have been booted out before.

Though agree he should focus on building Test legacy. 300+ Test wickets and 3000+ runs sound much better than some ODIs

CT might be last if anything.

Don't read too much into this. Gambhir has had public tensions with Kohli in the past and has a strict headmaster image. He's just trying to mend bridges with the seniors so they can have a healthy relationship.

Nothing wrong in showing confidence in senior players at the beginning of his stint. What else was he supposed to say?

Wait for a few months to pass judgement on his coaching and selections.

Yep, as long as he DOES the right things, doesnt matter what he says.

But I'm not sure of that too. Guy is all hot air.

That itself gave you away... no Indian will ever say "I grew up on curries". In fact there's no such thing as "curry" in any Indian cuisine... that's a generalization given by westerners for dishes which have gravy.

Sabko pata hai ki tu Pak hai... why so much shame in hiding your true identity. I know you want to be an Indian and in fact lot of Pak do so in western countries but why do so on a cricket forum :dontknow:

ICF was celebrating Jadeja's non-selection in ODIs. Don't be surprised if he plays ahead of Axar, Kuldeep in the CT. Indian cricket is so *ed right now, absolute clowns in charge.

I won't be able to take it seeing a team with over the hill oldies such as Rohit, Kohli, Jadeja and Chahal in WC 2027 with likes of Jaiswal sitting on the bench :((
