Saini has steady 135 to 140K speed and a good inswinger...i am sure this pace will become 145k in Australia.

He can be taken to Australia as Umraan and Mayank won't go and India requires one good fast bowler with genuine pace.

Akashdeep who may bowl under 141K but has immaculate Line n length.

i feel Saini is a better option than khaleel and yash dayal. saini is faster and has at least good control over an inswing kind of bowling, today he had gill out again , just the easy catch was missed.

i get this feeling that SIRAJ ,Shammi , BOOM , Akashdeep have already booked their seat and 2 more pacers will be taken as BackUP.

there could be a match in which 4 pacers will be played in Australia so at least 6 Pacers should be taken to Australia.

Gill goes anyway. 

Better that these Indian players get practise and fail here instead. Wv Raman and anjum were dissecting his technique where he survived that dropped catch pushing at a wide ball

:hysterical: Wo kya Asutralia PICNIC jaraha? LMAO at uncle ji thinking Saini is going to be picked.

The last time India PICKED saini in AUSTRALIA in a playing xi and what we got was one of the most embarrassing incident in history along with Zaheer and Bhuvi Limping off in ENG and AUS after 2 overs

Sainis time was 4-5 yrs back when he went to nzl. He may have become cannier but slower and older now. 

In aus w e will need reliable 25 overs of bowling withpit breaking down as much if not more than speed.

Gill has been flashing balls to be left alone, even his defensive strokes were away from the body.
Australian conditions balls don't swing, but with this kinda defense, he is going to be in trouble anywhere in the world.

He will always have issues with his trigger movement and hard hands. Just has to find a way to make runs despite it.

Jurel overall has been very ordinary with the bat since the Test debut.
Mediocre IPL, decent UPT20 and now failed with bat twice.
He is young, so may improve. But I think selectors may think now whether to include him vs Ban or rely on KL as backup keeper.

Think the England series was the making of him because there were lot of question marks on his place. He managed to emerge from that with credit.

I not sure if that's correct, but at this moment Ruturaj is giving me more assurance than Gill.
One advantage though is Gill will not play as an opener, so Yashasvi and Rohit may blunt the new ball to some extend. Also as it's Bengaluru, the conditions at this time of the year is favourable to the fast bowlers.

I strongly believe No.4 is the best spot for Gill. Keep him away from the new ball as far as possible.
