How many T20 tourneys do we have? There's TNPL, there's one in Hyderabad, Gujarat also has its variant, Delhi started one this year. Plus there's domestic T20 such as SMA, and then the IPL. Way too much T20 cricket if you ask me.

 

And we still end up with likes of Avesh Khan, Khaleel, and Dube

Tyagi is done unfortunately. His best bet was the Test series in Aus in 2020-21 when even likes of Nattu and Saini got games. Now it's too late IMO and injuries derailed his career.

 

I'm hoping Mayank Yadav doesn't go the same way, and at the very least he's able to play and succeed in white-ball cricket

after upt20 dpl..or may be rpl..we should have some north premier league..those 6 teams will have great quality batting and bowling on showcase..

 

scratch this..if we have any good players..these current states leagues should be enough to unearth them..no combined league required..will be too many leagues..primarily for business minting money..

Got to do with so many  OTT and mob.apps, they need content plus their are small local busns who like part of this franchises system.

He's gone the same way as Nagarkotti and Mavi are done. You can be as optimistic as you want but Tyagi has gone off the radar. Don't see him in A team, IPL, domestics etc. And with his injuries and bowling action changes, I doubt he's coming back. You can wait for years just like Mavi and Nagarkoti but he's gone the same way.

Mavi has already played for India. Regarding Nagarkoti, I always had doubts as an India prospect because of his short height.

Tyagi is turning 24 soon, and he's barely played any games in the last three years. The only time he played consistently was last year in the Syed Mustaq and Vijay Hazare tournaments, but even then he wasn't a regular.

 

I've always supported him, but honestly, he's going nowhere if he keeps thinking he can play for UP. He hasn't made any progress, and he keeps changing his action every few months.

 

Either he's not serious about making it to the Indian team, or he's pissed off someone powerful in the UPCA. He needs to switch states and play somewhere else, or he'll end up like those graduates who are still jobless for years even after finishing college.

I told you soo.. Tyagi, Umran will never play for India - have been saying this for year. To understand that you need iq not some “””yeaaa paaaac is paace yaaar””” bravado.

 

it was clear from the games they played (the rare ones) that they wre no where close to finished products. Cant bowl 3 good balls together, cant stay injury free.

 

Some clowns now will blame bcci nca bla bla bla rather than their own deluded thinking. Buddy if you think someone will get into national team after averaging 45 in fc or 10+ economy in IPL just co they aree phaaaast or you butst a nut seeing them - you lot are delusional

Look, the problem is you think every fast bowler is a dumb pacer. That's where it all starts.

 

Let's say Tyagi and Umran aren't good enough for India because they average 45 and have an economy of 10 or something.

 

The bigger issue is, how do slow bowlers like Mukesh, Avesh, Unadkut, and Deshpande help us? Didn't the BCCI waste enough time and money on them? Now we're in a situation where we don't have any fast bowlers after Bumrah or Shami who we can rely on.

 

Arshdeep has his limits, and Siraj is...well, he's going downhill. We lost the series against Sri Lanka even though we didn't play any "fast bowlers." We are playing Kamboj in Duleep Trophy who as well averages 35 something in FC...

 

Mukesh and Avesh aren't helping us at all. We dropped Akashdeep after one test, and he's nowhere to be seen. Fast bowlers are disappearing like hair on a bald man's head. 

 

It's easy to criticize, but no one is offering any real solutions.

Done not sure, but yes he is not in the plan for Ind TM and selectors, first he needs to play some games.

Find a stable IPL team and now how the selections are made that franchise should back him or lobby for him into Ind team.

 

This is v.much the selection process now , not just for him but any1 else. Only Mukesh Kumar was selected directly to Ind team in all 3 formats before he played for any IPL team.

Yes, previously domestic boards were starved of sponsors and always found hard to get any1 supporting the team this seams to be an easy way.

Think every Intnl board will follow the same, it will become a thing now.

Where did I say any of this? Prove it

 

 

The problem is people want Umran, Tyagi etc to be given chances even without showing any performances other than the once in a blue moon. But if a medium pacer is skilled, no matter how skilled he is or how he has forced his way through the system - they will be mocked even before playing a single game.

Take Mukesh for example. Yes he has been ordinary, but his selection was on merit. He forced his way through with consistent performances in FC cricket. But even before he got a chance, we had experts making fun of him here because in your imaginary world a player who cnt even perform in lower leagues should be played ahead of him.

WE have Mayank who cant even play 3 games without getting injured and people want selectors to pick him for Internation cricket. LOL

This was the case with Prasidh Krishna hyped to the moon coz he apparently was the second coming of Gillespie. Turned out he is worse than Ishant Sharma on his worst days.
