Need4Speed Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 (edited) Assuming they perform per the promise they have shown..I would like to pick the below xi for India T20 side.. Y Jaiswal - addnl quality - wrist spin Abhishek Sharma - addnl quality - left arm spin..working on variations SKY Parag-addnl quality - right arm off spin.. variations Rinku Pandya\NKR - AR--NKR can replace Pandya when he improves Keeper Bat??-Pant is still questionable in t20s Spinner-Bowling AR?? Harshit Rana--some ability to bat Boom Mayank Yadav -This xi has good batting depth till 9 -Good bowling depth with 3 good pace bowlers,1 pace bowling AR,1 specialist spinner who can bat, additional bowling options in Jaiswal,Abhishek,Parag This is an exciting explosive eleven in batting as well as bowling with experience in SKY,Pandya,Boom..but Help needed in: 1-Keeper batter..the keeper bat should be able to come in and start scoring without wasting too many balls..as he is coming lower down the order..Pant , Kishan, Jurel they need some time..probably thats why TM is thinking about Jitesh..do we have any goo doption..may be Abhishek Porel? 2-Spinner--I would like a wrist spinner..else may be Sundar can be an option..he isnt a good hitter but can bat..in case of a wrist spinner Bishnoi or Kuldeep may come into picture but then he will have to improve batting further.. additionally if we reduce batting depth from 9 to 8..then we can go for any of the specialist spinner..who bowls well for us.. A good finger spinner gives control..but wrist spinner gives wkts..its a conundrum for me..similarly Axar provides good batting but not an agressove option in bowling..can give control though..but Abhishek can improve bowling.. 3-Arshdeep has done well in T20s and has variety with left arm inswing, yorkers, good short balls..I dont know how to fit him in..probably in place of Harshit if he improves batting.. Thoughts,Critiques,Opinions are all welcome here.. Edited October 2, 2024 by Need4Speed express bowling 1
Chakdephatte Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Everyone selects himself. No question about it. For wicketkeeper, it has to be Samson. Pant and Ishan are terrible. Need4Speed, New guy and Rondu 3

PSB_Zone Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 (edited) With Parag and Abhishek already avialable as finger spinners. Wrist spinner is needed even if does not bat. Ishan kishan preferred even If he bats at no. 6 or 7. He is a better keeper than samsun . Edited October 3, 2024 by PSB_Zone Need4Speed and New guy 2

Norman Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 We have to try other keepers in T20s now. Enough of this Samson, kishan tamasha which has yielded us nothing. Pant should be limited to longer formats. Jitesh looked promising at the start but looks mediocre now. New guy and tapandrun 2
Gollum Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 Gill, Sundar aren't natural T20 players. Waste of investment. tapandrun and raki05 1 1

Reckon Saha should have been given a run 10-12 years back, he could have been wk opener, and tbh better opening option than Rahane who played 2014 and 2016 WT20s. Norman 1

tapandrun Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 (edited) 1. Abhishek 2.Jaiswal 3.sky--should play at 3 more balls he faces more runs team gets 4.WK -- Not pant, kishan or samson or jitesh . Need to find some1 better 5.Pandaya 6.Parag. 7.Rinku 8.Axar for now 9.Leg-spinner who can bat 10.Rana 11.Bhumrah 12. Some LAF who can bat t20 style, for a strong t20 side there should be a wk-batter in opening pos. and atleast 1 allrounder in top 3 gives u batting till 10,4 allrounders (Abhishek, Pandaya, Parag/Jaiswal and Axar), 4 LH batters. 3 pacers and a leg-spinner Edited October 4, 2024 by tapandrun

I want Mayank to be our attacking option in Middle overs..this bowling will be relentless..

Didnt include him bcoz of low sample size. if he is able to replicate what he did in those 2 matches he would be like malinga/pathirana who are wkt takers being economical then the team can get by even if bhumrah has an off-day Need4Speed 1

jf1gp_1 Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Bowling would be led by Naseer khan (160+) supported by Pankaj Sharma (150+) and Ayush A the leg spinner Batting will be Mayak thakur who will take over from Virat.

Chamsi Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 (edited) We gotta admit that a keeper at the top is quite necessary for this team as it simply allows for more flexibility in the lower order. Except Dhruv Jurel, admit it, all the other options are out of form or mediocre. Sanju, Pant, Ishan, Jitesh, KL, have all produced extremely inconsistent performances in the middle order. So forcing these keepers to open or not be in the squad is a good option to have a settled batting order. Except CSK, a lot of the titles have been won with teams having opener-keepers. MI with Parthiv, KKR with Robbie and Salt, GT with Saha, Gilchrist in DC I think. That is what they are experimenting with Sanju right now, and I see it as a win. Edited October 5, 2024 by Chamsi
