Nitish can be like that Pakistani allrounder guy Ahmer Jamal or something. He kept Pakistan in hunt in last 2 test matches with the bat and ball in Australia series.

He is supposed to bowl 7-10, overs per inns as a 4th pacer. 

Cannot pick a specialist bowler for that role.

More batting centric role is needed.

Jamal only played 1 good inns in Sydney in flat conditions I think.

Jamal was a better bowler than a batter.

Nitish is a batting all rounder and a support pacer at best.

Spinners couldn't do that on a turning track in India. Ashwin got thrashed 4-5 rpo in both tests.

Fellows like these gets free slots time and again. These two guys should be thrown out of the test team at any cost. Gill is even portrayed as the future indian Captain even with these petty test records. This is pure lobbying. These fellows have surely candidates proposed by BCCI. The same old 90s favoritism and lobbying. Only thing lacking is match fixing.
