Since modi wouldn't talk until details are hashed out as per usual diplomatic protocol, havbing a guy who has Trump's ear in India may have been the difference. I thought he was a light weight.

IndianRenegade Posted February 6 Posted February 6 True all those CEOs who didn’t say a word abt immigration legal or otherwise are slowly finding their voice back. They can see the tide changing.

With the volatile nature of trump i think ups and downs are always expected. Would not be surprised if tomorrow trump meets xi and slaps tarriffs on india inorder to cut deal with chinese. Keep diversifying exports. India needs more exports and imports from africa and south america. Should aim thesw two regions combined making upto 15% of bilateral trade in next decade ravishingravi 1

Vancouver Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Liberals in Canada are losing it as Iranians protest the Iranian regime and even root for Trump to take action against Iran. The world might be surprised at how quickly many Iranians are moving away from their Islamic identity. Most Iranians in the West are more cultural than religious as they drink, eat pork, and observe Islam mostly in name. Many are reconnecting with their Zoroastrian roots. Meanwhile, liberals can’t stand hearing Iranians praise Elon Musk for giving them Starlink when the regime cut off the internet. G_B_ and Lord 1 1
IndianRenegade Posted February 20 Posted February 20 knowing trump he will find another obscure law to reimplent the tarrifs, even if it is a much smaller scope. That will against go to SC which might uphold the smaller scope, based on its legal validity.

Indian media is celebrating this as a win, but I think the SC has only called the reciprocal tariffs that were imposed, using emergency powers of the president as unlawful. But not the tariffs that were negotiated with trade deals. So for example, india exports will still be taxed at 18% after the trade deal.
