Indian americans live primarily in states of new york cali and nj.

There is literallly nothing a 1% pop (a big chunk of whom cannot vote) could have done to change the outcome.

thats not how things work, there was significant swings recorded towards republicans by Indian americans (& other immigrants like latinos) even in these blue states. I agree they don't affect presidential elections but they have an impact in the house. Controlling all 3 branches is what gives trump the power to do what he has been. Now everyone will find out. 

 

 

Also my point wasn't about voting. You must be able to oppose the side you voted for if they are implementing a bad policy, cheering a bad policy because it is hurting someone you don't like is great unless you realize the same check & balances that protected the person you didn't like also protected you. Now they will come for you. One poster was claiming trump was the greatest thing to happen for India since roti, it doesn't look so great now does it?

Republicans underpeformed in all three said states. They barely picked up anything in the house or senate.

So you can try to be as mercantilist as you want, but these guys have revealed their cards fairly clearly. Geo politics is not entirely zero sum. India to be contained.

Blunt truth, given europe is in decline and russia has burnt itself out in ukraine, india is now defacto number 3. The Eu is an entity on a military front only in name. Germany is in decline as is uk n france. These countries offer quality of life and work life balance but have dimished say on a world stage.

 

Thats probably what stirs the western thinkers. War in Ukraine has allowed asian powers to steal a march by simply not being involved. Even if war stops it will take hundreds of billions to rebuild ukraine. 

 

 

With no real challenger for the third spot India should race to become a 10 trillion economy. Beyond that threshold fair enough.

Bhai ! My position is very clear.

1. EU has paid bounty money to hunt down Putin. By Bounty money, I mean of US EU Trade Deal. 5% of GDP to Defence budget and Investing in USA. UK has allowed Zelensky to reach mineral deal.  That JD Vance speech in MSC on freedom of Speech post Romanian elections of Calin Georgescu or France Le Pens conviction.

 

2. EU got oil Security which OPEC was not agreeing to for low price to keep under check. What Middle Eastern nations got. They got EU UK Canada to recognise Palestinian State.

 

3. Turkey +Qatar got HTS to ouster Asad. US got China/Russia out of ME(key is Iran Saudi peace deal brokered by China) and investment commitments. while Saudis managed to hit nucler program of Iran

 

I think Point 3 is key to Point 2 as Oil route to EU gets opened via Syria. Point 2 enabled EU to do Point 1. Point 1 reduces US sensitivity that its defence budget has gone below the debt Servicing levels.

 

Now when most people in world were baffled by why Hamas did on what Hamas did on Dec 7 2023, But at the time I think all this is linked to Ukraine War. Now I am certain thats how it happened.

 

PS: India Pakistan may be also linked. US wanted to hit Iran at behest of Saudi Money. So Asked Munir to do whatever Munir wants to teach India a lesson.

Unlike Indians, profit margins on Chinese manfactured goods is very low(Indians can learn a lot from Chinese on this). They fundamentally rely on volume of Sale. Since tarriff is on voleme of Sale, Chinese wont be able to absorb and will be passed on to Consumers.

As if Indian Americans were instrumental in Trump winning. I have told that too. My state overwhelming voted for Kamala. It was the majority of blue collar lower income people who switched to Trump after failed economic policies of Biden and didn’t want to risk 4 more years of the same  with Kamala. Kamala was the joker candidate the main reason for Trump to win
