Pant has all the skills leveling with Tendulkar but match awareness of Arshdeep

There are only 3 players in the team that deserve to be picked in any conditions for Test matches:

1. Jaiswal

2. Pant

3. Bumrah

 

All others are either specialists in certain conditions or outright terrible everywhere. 

 

And this thread is questioning one of them

I pick Pant first.

Then VVSL.

Then Gavaskar.

Sachin was one of the most complete batters of all time. 

 

Pant kahan same level pe hai.. He plays some clutch innings but similar skills?? No words.

depends on the format - I assume we are referring to tests. GG (who I despise as coach) was quite clutch in LOIs.

not bad, although Zaheer is not in the same class as Srinath, and Sehwag would fail outside Asia in many cases.

Pant has played too many blinders for me to start going at him now.  
 

In any case, from a logical standpoint, it’s Sharma and Kohli who should be in the dock.

Bakwaskar is disgusting.  The most biased analyst ever.  Always criticizes promising youngsters and not a single word on washed up oldies.  How much commission does he earn from the oldies??
