Bakwaskar is disgusting.  The most biased analyst ever.  Always criticizes promising youngsters and not a single word on washed up oldies.  How much commission does he earn from the oldies??

1 BJ per praise from them

About Pant : That's not his natural game. That is stupid

About Rohit : He plays this shot often (implying its his natural game) just got  big on him

There are 2 versions of Pant.

One which hits sixes after sixes with the spin/turn like Chennai 2021 v England. One which doesn't hesitate to be 35 of 85 like Gabba chase.

And this one where field is set of that shot and he plays and throws away wicket there only.

Life is all about outcomes you obviously can't ignore that - RGS had he not thrown away his wicket vs Maxi in the finals could well have cemented his legacy as the best LO cap we've ever had. Same goes for any other player, inlcuding BRat, heck Bumrah was a certified choker before his WT20 finale :cantstop:

It's not just difference in end result. It's difference in approach itself.

Sehwag did same in his career. Before 2009, he used to play a lot according to field or would play a lot with the turn and rarely against the turn.

After 2009 or 10 his game changed and he started trying more against the turn or field.

Sehwag lost both interest and reflexes in tests over time. hopefully same will not happen with pant.

Sehwag lost his eyesight around 2010-11. He tried wearing glasses and then lens but it didn't work out for him. He was never the same batsman after that.

Also lost some motivation prior to that.

It was due to the eyesight fiasco. He was quite down when that happened and he couldn't bat the same way anymore. He tried glasses, then went to using lens and then glasses again but it didn't work for him. Could've lost a bit of reflexes too along with his eyesight but he was never the same batter after that.

should have retired in 2011 itself after winning WC.

Yup. Both him and Tendulkar should've done that. Tendulkar's average dropped considerably and we went through that 0-8 fiasco as we had over the hill players who shouldn't have been selected.

Yeah, 99 100s would have a more poetic feel to it.

Yup just like Bradman's batting average of 99.9

He would've averaged 56 or 57 and signed off on a winning note. Those last 2 years took some shine away from his legacy.

There is something called lasik. He could have done that.
