vvvslaxman Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 He created a massive opportunity. Just because our fielders dropped it doesn't mean that should not be factored in. If Jaiswal had held on to it game would have been over for Australia The Dark Horse 1
The Dark Horse Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Wrt pace he's definitely clocking 133+ kph on average which is decent. A few tweaks and he can be as good as Shami in the future.

India has terrible think tank obviously. These things should be caught in 2 overs. Bumrah does hsi bit by talking to bowlers on and off. But they have to work as a unit not as disciples of Bumrah. They should collectively form strategies and see how to work over one batsman. Also set fields so that they don't rotate strike easily.

He even had rookies bowling to a plan in 2020-21. I don't know why he hasn't been persisted with.
HouMac Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Confused by this thread. Akash Deep has easily been India's 2nd best bowler in the series.

It's about him looking way better than his stats, i.e.he's not having anywhere the impact he should have. He's bowling a tad short and not getting wkts to support Bumrah, which is what his role is. He's decent and would be much better in NZ, Eng and SA where pitches provide a lot more help. But you do expect your specialist pacers to pick up wkts and not just beat the bat on a regular basis.

Vk1 Posted August 3, 2025 Posted August 3, 2025 He helped us win the second test in England.. he has the tools to be useful in SEN.. its the fitness and extra effort that counts
singhvivek141 Posted August 3, 2025 Posted August 3, 2025 On one thread, someone is bashing Prasidh...other thread folks are bashing Akashdeep. Siraj will anyway swing from best bowler of the day to worst. Washy & Jadeja too will get crucified if Gill gives them more overs.
Majestic Posted August 3, 2025 Posted August 3, 2025 It is Prasidh as far as test cricket is concerned. Leaks far too many runs.
