Too much of this fake news is being spread by PR, what a s*it show, BCCI is right now is equivalent to what a nation would be called a Banana Republic, how low can these guys go to retain their place that their PR has stooped so low to spreading fake news in the name of former players.

 

At this point genuine cricket fans are probably one stiff martini away from saying F*ck you to BCCI and their clowns, all they will be left with is their useless players, with their PR and their paid f*cking stooges.

Abhorrent. The guy has a daughter growing up at home. On one hand you see Pat Cummins and Kane Williamson conducting themselves in field and in public and then you see such filthy minds leading India. Strange but not shocking that these things have become more of a norm and nobody questions them.

Have you seen the posts on this very forum especially doing some close games? The players come from the same environment as some of the guys venting abuse at the players on here and often are much less educated. The faux outrage at normal street lingo is a bit misplaced !

He is a 12th pass guy from Mumbai and speaks like many others from that background. He is captain because of his alleged cricketing prowess not his polished diction. Kohli can speak in cultured English but he is also just as crude when he loses it and starts cursing in Punjabi.

I personally couldn't care less about these issues. He can curse like a sailor under his breath as long as he can do the job on the field.

Kohli was bashed for his behaviour. As role models you have to carry yourself responsibly. Thats why guys like Sachin, Rahul etc were respected organically.

That's a myth similar to the one that held that a person like Trump could never be elected because he was too crude. In reality, people do not mind leaders who speak like the common man provided they perform at their primary job which is on the field.

This role model stuff is irrelevant. The only thing peope are going to emulate from these guys are their cricketing shots and approach..no one cares if they are soft spoken or perfect boy next door types. In fact, not having that streetwise keeda has held the meek Indian approach in cricket for a long time historically.

Not true, people try to copy everything from whom they consider role models. 

 

I'm not saying pick average guys because they are well behaved.  But behaving well is an added responsibility once you satisfy the ability/skills criteria.
