he is 30.. fixed his main problem.. he should have a good 4-5 year period before the reflexes slow down. Pick him in both odi & tests

he played some shots against short ballin this series was able to manage it well compared to past. but will be intersting to see how he plays rourke (nz).

rourke was bowling sharp bouncers tp sa in pak tri series to both sa and pak on a easy bounce easy pace wkt

still he kind of gets into weird position to play hok and pull

Half of our team can't even play straight deliveries on or around off so short ball problem is way down the list. We need to get players who can at least play and score off regular deliveries. When like sof Kohli can't play spin or anything outside off, targeting Iyer is idiotic.

Kela is lauded for his technical correctness lol we all enjoyed the technically correct maiden over in T20 didn't we?

All his "technical correctness" will never lead us to a tourney win. Don't really know how he was selected when we have Pant.

That is more to do with shot selection. If you pick the wrong ball even the best puller will get out. That is something he has to work on. Which one to go after which one to leave. Same goes with Sanju. I don't think even Jaiswal has total control over pull.  Gill has reasonable control. KL Rahul used to pull well. Nowadays he is late. THat is why it often goes behind the wicket rather than infront or square. Unusually he gets out strangled down a lot of times

Think sanju does nt have obvious issue with short-ball but the kind of pace those 2 ball they are not just quick but quality too and kind of unique in many ways.

Plus Archer is though to handle anyways, think sanju just need to work his game against hight pace.

Jaiswal has his own way of plying hook and pull, he will get out with that technique more think that happened to him in IPL too. Yes KL and gill are good against short stuff not only hook and pull but guiding it as well. Do not need to play big shots always can just guide it too.

S.iyer has time in Odis not that he needs to hit out every single ball pick and chose and if a top bowler wastes some of his over in the middle that should be okay and then he can cash in at the end when top bowles would not have much overs left as they used it out in the middle page trying to bump him.

There is time in Odis and Iyer can hit other bowler he has ability ot hit multiple 4/6 in an over

I should have tried this line at home with my mother during my school days.

I always saw the talent in him. There is a touch game underneath Iyer which was on full display in the playoff. Those deft touches through thirdman area was eye catching.
