Pak batters' techniques are horrendous. Never seen so many misses in an ODI and you see all sorts of plays and misses - beaten based on  line, length, bounce, swing, seam movement etc. And sometimes all of those in a single over.

Couldn't hv asked for a better timing of these ODIs.  Wake up in the morning.  Watch Pooks struggling at 32/5 in 15 overs, with a cup of coffee.   Before eventually commuting to office.

Nzl don't give us good pitches either like they do even other subcon teams. We will need to go a month in advance and plan like we did for 20/21 BGT to have a chance. Nzl doesnt fire us up like Aus do to go to All that trouble.

True. He hasn't shown much progress. I had such high hopes of him after his debut series in Aus after the way he batted at Gabba in 2020-21. Quite disappointing that innings is still Gill's career highlight 4 years down the road.

I remember Guptill once said gaadu to Chahal not to fire him up but to lift him in his godi

no more like c/d side, hay will be nz's 4th choice keeper, mariu, kelly 5/6 choice openers.

3 v.tall bowlers causing the trouble. Boult, henrey and ferguson would be the 1st choice bowlers or may be 1 of these 3.

After catching a few overs of NZ-Pak match, I have to say with a heavy heart that I agree with Pak team and fans when they say India is afraid of playing them.

 

I fully agree. After playing these folks and watching these kind of matches, Indian fans will be totally turned off of cricket forever. Quite scary indeed.

Sad part is that NZ is testing bench strength of their B team. They rested Chapman as well today and handed debuts to a couple of nobodies - Kelly and Mariu with Abbas playing just his 2nd match, and a bunch of players who made their debut in this series (T20s).
