Gollum Posted March 17, 2025 Posted March 17, 2025 Ravichandran Ashwin reveals he wanted his 100th Test in Dharamsala to be his last and he had even invited MS Dhoni for the same. LINK So retirement was on his mind even in the England home series. Not an impulsive decision in Australia then. It did seem that he was finished even in the England series. MOTS against Bangladesh but against a superior NZ team, he just wasn't there. In his YT video as well, said he didn't want to travel to Australia but Gambhir and Rohit talked him into going there. Also why is Dhoni so aloof when it comes to maintaining relationship with his colleagues? He didn't even take Laxman's calls when latter was about to call his retirement. As Ashwin's first captain and mentor in India/CSK he should have been honored to see his mentee's achievements. New guy 1

He's an extremely private person. I heard he didn't even use to pick up Srini mama's call when on leave. Only Raina had a direct line with him at all times. Dhoni might be the only major Celeb in India who hasn't been on the Kapil Sharma show lol.

I would prefer our cricketers to go away once they're done playing. I don't want them to give statements like Harbhajan, Sehwag, Yograj Singh etc. I like Dhoni and Tendulkar as they remain quiet in the background without making or adding to drama. Strangering Posted March 17, 2025 Posted March 17, 2025 Dhoni would show up for Anant Ambani's retirement from book cricket (you know, last digit of the page you open is runs, 0 is out). He may even post poems and haikus on Instagram celebrating the great achievements.
