Why is Rayudu such a Dhoni bhakt tho? Aisa kya kiya hai usne uske liye? I can understand Raina and Jadeja.

Was in CSK with Dhoni for long time. He once even returned from retirement after Dhoni talked to him.

Chicken Biryani Recipe (Restaurant Style Recipe At Home)

That should make Dhoni and Rayudu bhakt not the other way around :p:

Having said that their friend ship goes way back before CSK or IPL since India A days.

I've asked the same question earlier in the thread as well as this level of chaploosi seems unreal. Not just Rayudu, Raina or Jadeja. There're many more like Kedar Jadhav, Murli Vijay, Deepak Chahar etc. And this is not just limited to Indian players. Some of the foreign players act the same way, though not as unhinged as Rayudu. Heard Watson, Huussey and Hayden talk about Dhoni and CSK in the past and it didn't seem made up. You can still see that when Watson talks about Dhoni/CSK in the commentary box. Haven't seen the same level of bhakti with Rohit and Kohli is the exact opposite with nearly everyone leaving RCB taking taking a shot at Kohli and RCB with Parthiv Patel, DK, Maxwell being the most prominent ones.

Would really like to read a memoir from someone once they publish a book. Probably Hussey or Watson.

Dhoni might be having that kind of effect on those who play with him even if we laugh about it. Players who were bums elsewhere flourished and contributed in a significant way for csk.

Rayudu, Uthappa, Watson, Rahane, Moeen Ali, Dube, Mohit Sharma, Gony, Chahar etc. Literally every one of them struggled at other franchises, especially RCB and went on to perform well at CSK.

Rayudu did well at MI

Uthappa did well at KKR winning in 2014

Mohit did well at GT

Rahane too had good season for RR when he got picked for India in 2014/16. Just SR improved with impact rule.

Watson was MVP for RR winning first season.

They did well in early 2010s. But when they were picked for CSK they were all discarded by their original franchises and were picked around 2018-2020 timeframe.

CSK managed to get the best out of them and figured out a way for them to contribute to the team. They actually won 2 titles with these players at the helm after their best time was already over. You can't deny that CSK did manage to make lemonade with the lemons. When someone like RCB couldn't win all-stars and even Watson was let go, CSK won with has-beens.

RCB is a trash example. They mis manage all the time.

They were all good players who were released like all team release players. Found form with CSK.

Why is Thala juju not working this time then? After all they are experts in winning with trash players no?

Because rayudu and Raina sucked all the juju out of dhoni this year.

This time they went way too extreme. These players are way too old and useless. A middle order of Tripathi, Vijay Shankar, Hooda, Jadeja and Dhoni aren't going to win you anything.
