Santner winning it for NZ again ! He has become a beast with the bat.

not until he does it in ICC tourneys or atleast away from home. Still a bowler who can tonk a few

WI was 90/95 fr 5 in 15 something but still kept hitting and scoring at decent rate.

WI top order is new and inexp. they lack the power game and the technique currently, but down the order they have big hitters like Shepard and even Springer can tonk some.

Hope has worked on his SR and Chase has improved as batters in last couple of years. But there new batters are not that good

Santner is top LA spinner in white-ball and can tonk some 4/6 down the order.

This is how NZ have been developing and selecting the players. The primary skill has to be v.good and then some secondary skill. He can walk into any team on his bowling.

He is not a bit a pieces player, even rachin is v.good batter and can bowl when needed. Phillips is v.good batter and he bowls off-spin think he can keep wkts too.

NZ has improved vastly on this previously they had bits and pieces, bt now all are v.good player yet being multi-skilled.

Santner outbowled Jadeja in 2019 semfinal too.He is very underrrated, if he was playing for India he would have been a star.

He fits like glove to his role, he can tonk long balls and can bowl well.

1/34 vs 2/34. Jadeja batted lot better that day.

Santner basically cost NZ them the WC by ducking the last ball in the final making it a dot. If that was an Indian, he'd been shredded to pieces too. Indian cricketers get both stardom and excessive pressure

Is West Indies trying to improve their abysmal cricket standard by touring the entire cricket playing world non-stop?

Go back and fix the cricket in your own backyard WI.

Do not think he is underrated, he is under-talked/mentioned about which is the case with NZ players in general.

There is not so much hype around LA orthodox as skill because there are big spinning leg-spinner or mystery spin  or LA legspin, but when he plays commentators talk high of him, opp.

seems him as proper wkt taker.

Do not think there jadu/axar are mentioned as some gr8 spinners too.

Nzl 166-6 batting first. Seems a spicy pitch.

Wi will have to bat well here.

One of those pitches where the first day is terrible to bat on and it gets better as the match goes on?

Would love a bowler like Henry. Hitting the length nibbling in and out.

Roach was getting it to jag big time yday off the seam. Not sure why he didn't play against us.

So this is the typical road pitch which will be at its very best on the last day. But WI batting doesn't need spicy pitch to get rolled over. THey can do that on flat deck as well.

We must win the tosses next year in NZ, and back ourselves to chase even 400 in 4th innings. Win isn't guaranteed but at least will be closely fought.

So funny to see grandpa Roach age 37 going on 38 being the best West Indian "pace" bowler!! The humiliation of the WI - no matter how much cricket they play around the world - is a joy to behold! How do you like it Lloyd, Holding, Richards? Enjoy!!

Unless pitches are super flat we aren't gonna get close to that sadly.
