Then he gets out. Gill type batsmen are born in a wrong era, where if you play odis you ought to have some ability to hit sixes outside your comfort zone

Lord Posted December 11, 2025 Posted December 11, 2025 Axar at 3 didnt make sense Manucrick and tapandrun 2
deepdynamo Posted December 11, 2025 Posted December 11, 2025 Flexibility is good sometime but not everytime. Why is Axar being shunted down from 8 to 5 to 3 and so on. Why Tilak is batting at 3 or 4 or 5. Dube bats 6 and then get demoted to 8. Sky came at 3 then pushed to 4 next match. This is getting too much and out of hand. If you don't want to drop Gill then just fix a batting order atleast. Just stick it for few consecutive games. Gill Abhi Tilak Sky Dube Pandya Jitesh Axar Lord and cricspirit 1 1
Nikola Posted December 11, 2025 Posted December 11, 2025 Gautam inspired by kl rahul? New guy, Manucrick, deepdynamo and 2 others 5
vvvslaxman Posted December 11, 2025 Posted December 11, 2025 Your best batsman , inform batsman should get maximum number of balls to face. Idiot says "batting order is over-rated?" cricspirit and deepdynamo 2

What ever little power game he added on recently, couple of IPL back. Rohit and Kolhi has t20i sr of 140 or near to it, and they have been playing fr ever since. And they have played better opp. and bowling and full strength bowling side. Gill for his 140 sr have only played depleted bowling sides or b/c level opp. Manucrick 1

He has been out quite a few times trying to clear the infield. He is not trying to manipulate the length of the bowler by walking/stepping out but trying to compensate for the lack of power by generating some momentum , can work in odis where he can pick and chose but in t20is when bowler know that its one the few shots he has the are using it to their advantage. He is hopping one of the two things here either bowler drags it on hig legs where he can play flick or if not he can clear inner cricker. This is something he learnt when he was with KKR and MCcullam was his coach and they tried him in the opening slot, think either himself or MCcullum also talked about it.
