Messers Agarka and Gambhir. Somehow Gambhir hates Iyer. If Gambhir got along with Iyer, none of this would be an issue.

Whg didn't kkr retain him after that ipl winning season?

Jitesh looks safer than Samson with the gloves... I am uncertain about his batting.  Should be given this full series to gauge him

He was great for RCB and he should be more than fine for Indian conditions.

A good stop gap at least. Pant can't even hack it in IPL currently.

Should focus on his declining Test returns

He should focus on his primary role being the keeper like most others like him in the world like Carey etc. A lot of the issues for him have been being thrust into a role as a mainstream test batsman who bats at number 5 and is often asked to rescue the innings or to bat long. That's not a role he is suited to despite doing pretty well in the England series.

Yea jitesh may or may not be the goods but he is definitely the superior option to Pant in t20s.

Pant is inferior to Jitesh, Ishan, Samson & even KL in T20 cricket.

Its just shows how Ind cricket is. Rana a fast bowler which Ind does not have many of , hardly ppl can give any 5 names of of test ready bowlers in Ind were going after rana for being selected in all the format . expert/ex-players were talking about him, memes and mocking him.

Now hardly any1 can say anything on the selection of a batter specially a t20i opener (which Ind have a bag-full of  ) and if asked about the situation they tell to remove the wk and bring another wk.

They want everything served in platter or readymade

Sanju has been treated worse than Bollywood treats outsiders. His fate is already sealed despite doing little wrong smh

And Gill should be seen more like Manish Pandey than Virat or Rohit. Those two were key contributors in ICC wins in their early 20s.

Then get in Jaiswal. Averages 36 with a SR of 164. Instead we've Gill averaging 28 at a SR of 140. I would even go with Suryavanshi or Priyansh Arya. In fact even Sai will be better. Literally anyone over the "Prince"

In mo the whole issue with sanju and it has been all the time is that he mistimes alot of shots and give away his wkt.

even in smat he mistimes and lobbs the ball in the air , opening in pp gave him that cushion that a mis hit may land in no man's-land.

Jitesh is not much of an upgrade on saju but he wont waste the ball and he will swing at each-ball if he connects then it good if not then nothing can be done.

He is like no.8 batter if it comes off its fine and if it didnt it wont matter, but he will throw his bat around and doing so he has shown he is able to hit few 4/6 in the start of the innings he does not need time and balls to get going which sanju do in the mo or lower mo.

Agree Gill is no better player.

Gill has no will, skill and desire to propel him as a player in t20s, however BCCI sees an all format crown Prince in him

Not counting his Asia cup and onwards score, here is his score in Eng t20i series :::

Here are Sanju Samson's scores and balls faced for each match in the five-match T20 International (T20I) series:
Tough over all it looks like 51 runs in 43 balls , but he has innings of 19 ball 26 runs, 7 ball 16 runs ,so Inds commulive score in 4-5 overs will be around .
So if he plays 9 balls he doubles that score and if he lasts bit longer then score more. And as he is wk he is already a dispensable wkt
And he has shown if he continues he can score tons.

May be Gill has similar numbers but he is a pure batter and opening with him is got giving Ind any thing extra plus he is just one -skill player.

Match  Runs Scored Balls Faced
1st T20I (Kolkata) 26 19
2nd T20I (Chennai) 5 7
3rd T20I (Rajkot) 3 6
4th T20I (Pune) 1 3
5th T20I (Mumbai) 16 7
Series Total 51 43

Will like to try Vaibhav in finisher's role , he has some power game, plays both on and off side game . can play both pace and spin and he is a 6-hitter

And can use him as surprise opener in one of the game

You should look at the batting order. If he had seriously wanted to statpad like Gill tried to do he could have done. Many times he took a lot of chances. The attitude of top 3 was top notch.
