Chaos Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Well about time these idiots get embarrassed on national level. I dont mind one bit. Reddy is mediocore, fraud @Lord fav player is trash, gill put of form, fatty form gone, harshiiittt is shitttt, kuldeep needs to be banned for life for that runout itself today, idiot is useless in all facets, iyer a joker, just bowl him short n fast wicket guareented. Siraj, what a effin idiot of a player he is, cant do anything right and a duck hero, then comes kl, might as well drop this choker in finals or any imp. Games. Arsedeep is ok. And then we have some legends opening threads .
Chaos Posted January 18 Posted January 18 That pushpa move by reddy is dumb af as if he scored maxwell style 100 Manucrick and Suhaan 2

Suhaan Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Nitish is a quality cricketer,he has the ability to bat even at top 5-6 TM has messed his development as a player ,need to polish his batting more in domestics His bowling has been ok as he has bowled more infact was completing his quota for his side in VHT recently Just needs to find his batting fluency and confidence, such statements are quite detrimental for any cricketer specially if used for young cricketers, seaming ARs are infact rare breed in India of all places
Serpico Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Nitish already failed in IPL; he is not a T20 player at the moment. Maybe he has some utility in longer formats but should be kept away from T20 sides until he has a bumper IPL season.
deepdynamo Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Keeping ODI WC 2027 in mind, I will keep Nitish Reddy in the mix. He would be much more useful than Jadeja, Axar or Washington. Pandya & Nitish can share the workload for the 5th bowler easily while being more than useful on spicy pitches. Manucrick 1
MK55 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 (edited) This guy Nitish is a complete waste of a spot. All he does is bowl at 125-127 after a super long run up. Guy must be having the slowest wrist snap n arm speed around. Almost gives me Ganguly level vibes while bowling. Plus is super short. Are our standards so pathetic to call such entities all rounders? Even Marnus Labu can bowl like that (though a bit faster). And batting wise he really hasn’t done much at all. Should be got rid off ASAP. He can come back if he improves as a batter. Correct statement and no need to sugarcoat facts. This is international cricket. These bits n pieces guys r the biggest trap. Edited January 19 by MK55 tapandrun 1
tapandrun Posted January 19 Posted January 19 He will never be a bowling option with the kind of pace he bowls plus he is not tall enough to be effective to be useful bowling at that kind of pace. Think there are multiple such players in who bowls 120-125 kmph and bat a bit , eg Seth, Makand, Ramandeep they all are same. Do not think he can be selected in intnl side based on his batting alone, need to polish his batting alot. He needs to play domestic cricket. Its okay to try such players and try to develop them but they should know if the player is good enough or not... MK55 1
putrevus Posted January 19 Posted January 19 He has to play more FC cricket to develop his batting. He has some tools, I think he should be given more chances. His basics with bat are okay. BacktoCricaddict and tapandrun 2
BacktoCricaddict Posted January 19 Posted January 19 The question is not whether Nitish Reddy is capable. The question is whether 10D is a punk. Answer is a resounding yes. putrevus 1

He should grow there at the start. He is not ready to bat for 30 overs with one-day mindset. He can bat for 20 overs max. If India loses 3 or 4 wicket sin 15 overs will he able to bat for 35 overs. Even if theyw ant him he should bat at 7 or below not at 6 unless he is used as a floater. India has too less players who can bat for long periods. We only have 5. We need about 7. tapandrun 1

Do not think his bowling can be of any use, he is not tall enough to be effective with the kind of pace he bowls and does not have skills as well. He is similar to how ramandeep , seth etc bowls ..may be good for domestic but not intnl. Batting still needs development, he should play more domestic cricket.. For batting Ind should looks at vht players who are playing in mo, player like yash rathod, ramaran. These mo batters from ipl/t20s will not help much in odis where the need is to play big innings not just short impactful knock. And then add some1 with power game for Odis like sharuk/Naman not sure if there are many batters with power game who can play 60-75 balls in domestic circuit. Edited January 20 by tapandrun

If he is used as a bowler he should be 5th bowling option not 6th. Cannot have 3 specialist fast bowlers and him as well. plus 2 spinners.

Better option is to try ramakrishna ghosh he bowls at lively pace and can bat a bit lower down the order and add a proper batter. Ind wasted this series nt trying new players. at least try batters/players at #6/7/8 if they think top 5-6 are locked. Edited January 20 by tapandrun

No seaming AR with pace of 135+ will sustain for long in this current age with too many formats ,on nat duty or not They will be down to 120-130 or there abouts if they regularly bowl At 8 we need a good spin/pacer first AR(depending on conditions) At 7 bat ARs are must like Aus has been doing from time immemorial(infact most do),yes he needs to improve his batting a lot @vvvslaxmanwe don't have that many batsmen who can bat long and construct innings in Odis sadly ,neither the focus is there to develop There are few batters in every VHT side who have potential but I don't think they will get any opportunity that soon or ever even for A side as they play the usual suspects there as well not focusing on next lot Things have to comeback on track ,system is on autopilot mode for quite long now

It takes one mistake for batsman to get out. Even crappy bowlers can come back in LOI as batsmen are like to commit more errors. Unless the bowler is an out and out match winner like Bumrah or Shami these they cannot walk into the side easily. Pandya is probably one of the near perfect fast bowling all rounder in the world. It is rare. All the other all rounders should be more a batsmen.

But if a bowlers is starting ~130/sub 130 kmph they will further slow down then will be on no use, Nitish kind of bowlers can only work when team already has all their 50 overs covered and he come-in and bowl couple of overs here and there try breaking partnerships, kind of taking a punt. He is not a long-time solution. And his batting he has 0 tons in FC not sure he is batter right now. There are better batters in domestic (or say batters with better better record in domestic)-Rinku, Yash rathore, samran,Sidesh Veer
