Jamieson is not a good T20 bowler.

He'll always have more attributes than someone like Foulkes to fall back on even if he isn't a great bowler himself.

Anyway NZ should not play this combination.

They need Santner coming in at #8 and play another hitter in there somewhere.

Load the side with match winners. Just hope 3 or 4 click. You are always going to win. No more safe players like Kela.

KL is one of the finest ODI players, and have been doing ok in tests.

This is the beastliest T20 team I have seen since 2012-16 WI.

Patience , patience .

The hurdle is yet to be overcome

SA are at equal footing with Aus,mafia hitters from MO to LMO,to turn the game on its head

Yeah, but KO mein Aus ka khauf alag level hai.

In bilaterals, de Kock=Head. Come WC F time, we know who is who.

He is part of an unique club.. in multi nation finals

Dube has done good, he has his limitations, but shear brute force is needed at times and he has shown he is not the one who just plays bad shots under pressure or key times.

Brute force in needed at itnl level in t20s. Most of the times his entry points were where Ind was in a spot but there are not many games where he played bad shot and still he has 140 sr. Is a v.good t20i batter --no.

But he has shown brains and brute force and knows how to play with the limitations he has.

That being said, I'd take a loss in this series if it wises up our management and the team ahead of the WC.

I'd take the bad performances here and now.

Team is too strong. Even in AC managed to win vs SL/Pak with a spot of bother.

I'm not worried about the Aussie T20 side. I never have .

SA and England are more of a challenge than them.

This Aussie T20 side is different. They seem to have finally figured out this format.

Yup. 2nd best after us.

SA-Eng-NZ make the next tier.

We beat their side 3-1 in their backyard.

We also beat Aussies just before 23 WC.

Eng won the WT20 2022.  Since then, their performance in whiteball cricket has been at par with Minnows.   So, I think the biggest threat to us are NZ & SA.

We have always beaten them in T20 WCs. Out T20 WC record is better. It is 4-2 against them.

The 2010 and the 2012 losses under Dhoni were a mucked up side. It's difficult for Aussies to defeat a full strength indian side.

Somehow I think SA will struggle this time - Rickleton, Stubbs these guys don't have great T20I records.

And I don't rate Maphaka that highly - not polished enough. They shouldn't have left Baartman out

Stubbs,I thought he wasn't there, was he added later?

I will always take that loss as humiliation purely on cricketing perspective,we should have pasted that Aus side on any other surface or they played their best game vs the two best sides of the tourney

2003 CWC we had no business beating that modern GOAT odi side ,accepted

That was a major tactical failure,'The Nov 19 agony'
