I am one of the customers too. The issue here is not "selection", it is requiring private entities to bid for people they do not otherwise want in an auction process. The IPL equivalent would be if there was a hue and try about no player from Andaman and Nicobar in any IPL team and articles decrying the discrimination involved. Yes I agree. I think this is just a fact free set of articles put out in the media to test the waters pushing the victimhood narrative. . Franchises will do what they want. Every company will say they are equal oppourtinities employers but make choices based on gender, age and ethnicity. It exists in most countries so uk is not an outlier. Much worse in France. Things are covert... Just say we will consider pak player and say then say no pak player fit our strategy. The more core issue is, uk has too many media outlets. Cricket and other sports live in shadow of football. In order to survive stories need to be generated.... If franchise owners dont say anything then people will assume what the sources are saying is right. They need to learn from Brits and Americans on how to cover their backs

This is called media bullying, it is common tactic used both in England and Australia. Did anyone ask idiots like Michael Vaughan to run their mouth. They need to tell him to buy the team and bid for any player he wants, it is easy to talk about these things when you are profiting from it and don’t have to spend a dime from your own pocket. Which British Pakistani? The only one I know is Adil Rashid. Moeen Ali is retired and he was picked in IPL as well by CSK. I don't think there're too many decent Brit-Pakistani players TBH.
