Gollum Posted March 1 Posted March 1 On paper, RSA could still finish 2nd. But almost impossible. NZ-RSA SF in Eden is confirmed. 4th March (Wednesday), 7 pm IST.

Somehow I get a feeling that Proteas are going to screw up in the SF. Just like their CT SF encounter. Even there, they comfortably topped in group stage but lost tamely against Kiwis in the Gaddafi SF, despite chasing in extremely dewy conditions. The only pressure match they played this time was against Afghans, and there they showed their vulnerability. Against us, anyway no one gave them a chance and they played freely after a poor start. Moreover there will still 2 more games to go. SF will expose all their mental fragilities methinks.

Only way I see NZ beating SA is if they win a lucky toss and get to bowl first on a pitch which dews up and flattens out after getting rolled mid innings or something. But whatever, the conditions, NZ have been somewhat exposed by both England and SA. Afghans had decent spin threat . On good batting wickets , NZ bowling is nothing special
zen Posted March 1 Posted March 1 (edited) Let’s see if Zim can pull off a win here … SA 43/3 … if SA wins, it will only add to their confidence going into the knock outs. Edited March 1 by zen
