Most likely some1 from production botched this up, its their job to cue up the commentators and tell then when to go or be prepared.

To read the damn scorecard?

Even regional commentators made that moment that special than Ravi Shastri, he is needlessly loud at times, who shouts like idiot at even toss time. Was scrolling and watched reel of Star Sports Tamil commentary on the winning moment, it is much better than English and Hindi commies, excitement and passion is there, although I can understand a word.

Shastri and Gavaskar should hang their boots now. They have squeezed the broadcasting industry for around 35 years now after their retirements. They have nothing new to offer to listeners- same old vocabluary, stale analysis and cringe humour.

Add harsh as well to the list but the reason they are still around is thanks to new commentators. All are either dull or cringe king.

he was chugging his stash quickly in the back room not risk getting caught in the  dry state in front of Amit Bhai :fear1:

The issue could be that Shastri looks at the score on TV. He saw 152-9 so assumed it was the 9th wicket, not realizing that wicket column was not updated yet. He needs to pay more attention to be aware.

If I am not wrong, he has done that in the past too, failing to read and track the scorecard properly.

See in defence of shastri this match was long over probably in the 10th over.

Is the most one sided finals of the t20 wc.

Still needs to be replaced but i stsrted celebrating with both nz oprners were out.

Should still go as india needs newer commentators.

I enjoyed it thoroughly! All that history of never beating NZ in WT20, NZ being our bogey team, final in Modi stadium, host team never winning WT20 at home, no team ever defending WT20 etc. all buried in one humongous demolition! :yay: :isalute:
