Bhogle is "thaali ka baingan" and goes whichever way the conversation or debate is leaning. He has this flowery language but no real substance and no original thoughts or ideas. At least Sanju Manju is open about his love for Imran but Bhogle doesn't even have that original thought. you see youtube comments and it feels like an avg educated cricket fan assumes Bhogle to be a genius GoldenSun and Ultimate_Game 2

People in India still associate intelligence with speaking English. And if they can throw in big words like Bhogle and Tharoor, that carries additional weight. Hope things change and people can call out Bhogle saying that his comments are all banalities and filler words. No insight, nothing new which viewer learns and a waste of space most of the time. rollingstoned, BacktoCricaddict, Vk1 and 2 others 5

He present himself as TV man. The whole issue is Ind players turned commentator/Experts does also sound like presenters, not some1 who had played cricket themselves. Yes its okay to be presenter/broadcaster but in certain discussion you have to make cricketing sense. How many Ind players turned commentators/presenters explain anything technically. Zero_Unit Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Saw the highlights. What was controversial about it? Just stupidity from Pakistani player's end. How you gonna stand outside the crease and attempt to pick up the ball lol. Why are people defending this, I don't get it. Lord and IndianRenegade 1 1

bowl_out Posted March 16 Posted March 16 One more controversy apparently : Pakistan lodge official complaint about Bangladesh's review at end of chase Pakistan have complained to match referee Neeyamur Rashid over the on-field umpire Kumar Dharmasena's decision to allow Bangladesh to take an lbw review off the penultimate ball of the third ODI in Mirpur. ESPNcricinfo has learnt the Pakistan management registered their complaint on the grounds that they believe Bangladesh took the review after a replay of the delivery flashed up on the big screen. .......... ......... It is not yet clear yet what action the PCB wants from the match referee, though it is believed they expect at minimum a public acknowledgment that an error was made. https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/pakistan-lodge-official-complaint-about-bangladesh-s-review-at-end-of-chase-1528079 Vk1, Zero_Unit, Ultimate_Game and 3 others 6

Did they sing "Hum honge kamyab ek din..." in Bengali? Didn't know there were common songs between the two nations though Rabindranath Tagore authored national anthems for both.

All these versions are literal translation of the American civil rights anthem "We shall over come". We used to sing both the Hindi and English versions during our school days. Ultimate_Game 1
