David Warner-Moeen Ali Big Fight In PSL Goes Viral, Video Stirs Storm

In a video that went viral on social media, David Warner looked upset with Moeen Ali and charged towards the all-rounder before being taken away by Haider Azhar. The clip has drawn strong reactions from the cricket fraternity.

Karachi Kings captain David Warner was involved in a heated exchange with all-rounder Moeen Ali during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) match against Rawalpindiz. In a video that went viral on social media, Warner looked upset with Moeen Ali and charged towards the all-rounder before Head of Strategy and Team Director Haider Azhar stepped in and took him away. The clip spread like wildfire on social media platforms, drawing strong reactions from the cricket fraternity. The fans were baffled at the situation and pointed out that moments like these can pull a team down.

The altercation came after Karachi Kings defeated Rawalpindiz by five wickets in a 199-run chase. David Warner had a brilliant outing in the match and scored a fifty to lay the foundation of a win. Later, Azam Khan played a whirlwind innings of 74 to take the team to a win.

Did Moeen Ali's Wicket Leave Warner Angry?

While the real reason why Warner was upset with Moeen Ali remains unknown, it could be because of his wicket at a critical moment of the game. Karachi Kings needed five runs to win in the final over, but they lost Moeen Ali for five runs on the first ball, triggering panic in the Karachi camp. Moeen missed a slot ball and was dismissed LBW. However, Abbas Afridi, who hit a six against Lahore Qalandars to win the game for the Kings, repeated the feat and hit a first-ball six to seal the game.

The win meant that the Karachi Kings stayed undefeated in three games played in the PSL. In the first game, they defeated Quetta Gladiators after a man-of-the-match performance by Ali, who scored 48 in 29 balls and also picked up a wicket. In the second game, they defeated Lahore Qalandars by four wickets in a nervy chase.

Think warner already explained about it ::

Here’s what David Warner said when he addressed the viral clip involving Moeen Ali:

“I said to him, ‘you go first in the handshake line,’ and he said, ‘no, you go first.’ That’s all it was.”

He made it clear there was no argument or fight — just a light moment that got blown out of proportion because of how it looked on camera.

Everyday there's some news about PSL which is not related to cricket. There have been pink balls, ball tampering, players banned, players fined for tweeting, players quitting PSL etc. PSL looks like a poor version of WWE at this point where people come for scripted drama than the actual sport.

Match-fixing and an actual fight is the only thing remaining but I'm sure both these things are already happening behind the scenes :giggle:

What is he doing in Australia while also being a captain of that joke league. :giggle:

Former Australian batter David Warner has been charged with drink driving after allegedly recording a blood alcohol reading twice the legal limit in Sydney.

The former Test opener reportedly blew 0.104 following a breath test on Sunday evening in the eastern suburb of Maroubra.

According to a statement provided to news.com.au, New South Wales Police said the 39-year-old stopped and parked his van just before reaching a random breath testing site.

Officers then approached the vehicle and subjected him to a roadside test, which returned a positive result.

Warner was arrested and taken to Maroubra Police Station, where a second test allegedly produced a reading of 0.104. The legal limit for a fully licensed driver in New South Wales is 0.05.

The 112-Test veteran is due to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 7 May 2026.

In a statement, NSW Police said: “About 5:30pm today (Sunday 5 April 2026), police were conducting stationary random breath testing on Malabar Road, Maroubra. A van was seen to allegedly stop short of the testing site and park.

“Officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command approached the vehicle and subjected the driver – a 39-year-old man – to roadside testing which returned a positive result.

“He was arrested and taken to Maroubra Police Station where a second test allegedly returned a reading of 0.104.

“The man was issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for drive with middle-range PCA [Prescribed Concentration of Alcohol] to appear before the Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 7 May 2026.”

For the unversed, Warner, who currently captains the Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), is set to arrive in Karachi on April 9 for the second leg of the competition’s 11th edition.
