“I have practised that shot since childhood,” Choudhary revealed after the match. “I always admired how Dhoni used to finish games, even hitting yorkers for six. When you pull off shots like that, it forces the bowler to rethink their plan.” He also dedicated the innings to his father and Dhoni, adding, “We’ve all seen MS sir finish games from these situations. I’m trying to replicate that in my role.”

Out of syllabus tailunt. Will keep an “eye out”. Missed the match.

when my patented  “eye test” scan diagnosis is completed , we will know if it’s a flash in the pan or real deal

Langer has said eh will convert him into the scariest 6 or 7 for India. Hope that becoems true. We are stuck with RInku now. But his game against spin needs thorough testing.

We're not stuck with anyone. Anyone better comes along, they take the spot. Nothing is reserved for any player.

he is a real deal man ..

initially he scored only 2 runs out of 8 balls , but he was struggling against naraine ( even HIS HIGHNESS thala never tonked naraine )

many commented that mukul should improve his batting vs spin .. googled a bit

he scored 25 runs in the last over to win a game for rajasthan vs spin

edit:-

bonus point. he handles short ball well and a fierce puller :yess:

rinku T20I stats for india is really good ..

he rarely gets to bat because of our very strong top and middle order , he rarely get a chance to bat these days

That's the drawback of batting lower down the order. It's a thankless position. You're supposed to go from ball one. If you succeed you barely get to score 20 odd off 10 odd deliveries and nobody would highlight it, and if you fall for a single digit score everyone will highlight the failure. The spot should be transitional as whoever is in form should bat there. Have a shortlist of people who can bat at 6 or 7 and go from ball one and pick anyone who's in great form prior to the tourney.

rinku is not a finisher in t20is, Ind team knows it kkr knows it too. He has similar role to what babar had in this wc in pak batting line-up as described by their coach.

He bats if team loses early wkt or there is a mini collapse, else if batting goes on doing fine they push him back like a batter after batters and if he gets to bat by then he goes an swing at each ball and hope few connects.

This was the same role Aus was asking if smith can take it up asking him to bat at 5 before moving away from anchor role.

The whole idea is that we do not need an anchor at the top we need anchor only when it needed.

Difference is that Rinku can hit after getting his eye in which likes of Babar can never do. But that role doesn't need to be fixed for anyone and if other players are in better form than pick them. Key is to get away from the star culture which held us back so far. Nobody is permanent and pick the player who is in best form before the ICC tourney.
