It also gives opportunities to players to showcase their talent. Sundar can even be used to open the inning to take advantage of power play, something that Saha used to do for GT in the past.

Philips is not a good T20 batsman although he has the attributes. He struggles against left arm spinner bowling into him. He takes time to build innings. That is when he is dangerous. But he must play as he can hit some big sixes. Ideally he should be facing mostly pace bowlers.

How many players they can maximize ????---Gill+Sai are opening, Sundar at #4, Tewatia at #5/6 Team is set-up to show case that Gill is a star batter , hence no other proper Ind/domestic t20 batter in the side. Gill is frm pjb and Nehra from del... del and pjb 2 domestic sides where most of the players/batters are IPL ready and they didnt get any1 is kind of surprise. He deserves a place in one of the ten IPL squads for sure. But at T20 specialist batsman at 4 is what GT should go for. Sundar should not bat in top 6 atleast. If Gujarat do not have a better T20 specialist bat than Sundar in top 6 then they should review their auction strategy.
